Black Magic
By
Corwin Clampitt
Closter phobia kickin in
Walls are getting thin
But I’ll be fine
Just show me the line
It’s getting shorter ever time
Harder to define
Crossing boundaries that aren’t mine
I can’t see how its naive
Naive to believe in me
I can’t just step aside
Won’t run won’t hide
Find what I’m looking for inside
Inside my soul inside I know
It’s not naive, naive to believe
You don’t want to leave
You won’t when there’s something to believe
A hundred words shouted
Every single one forgotten
With countless battled fought’n
Black Magic I felt it
Black Magic I have it
Black Magic it is true
Black Magic it was you
Flying by flew on by
Breathing in Breathin
Seeing this Screaming that
I will be who I’ll be
Retreat from me Defeat from me
Running away you will pay
Stray from me don't play with me
You won’t cry you won’t die
Black Magic I felt it
Black Magic I have it
Black Magic it is true
Black Magic it was you
Feeling down no one around
Falling down don’t make sound
Stumbling over stepping stones
Have no empathy and sympathy
If it’s naive to believe in me
Then you’ve seen the real me
Black Magic I felt it
Black Magic I have it
Black Magic it is true
Black Magic it was you
Black Magic I knew it
Black Magic you blew it
Black Magic you were blind
Black Magic you did find
Black Magic it cures you
Black Magic fuelled you
Black Magic who are you

Yeah, here's the thing. I hate lyrics, but I'd rather read about black magic than some "cute boy that make my cheeks go red, pink or blue". This reminds me of a song named "Black magic" by Slayer. My only nitpick is that you haven't explained about that "line" You are asking to show you you the line, and then you are describing it on and on and on. Be precise. These are lyrics, but also a literary work (I hate that's true). Keep rocking!
Where do I start...it's really rather haunting. I'm not personally good with lyrics myself, so this is definitely an effort better than I ever could have done. On the other hand, the last paragraph should've been split into two - it would've looked nicer. Some spelling and grammar errors, but that doesn't detract much from the lyrics. I think it's good.
Great lyrics....I am thinking it as metal. After I read your comment I then understood the real meaning of this song. You have very interesting thoughts, but the problem was grammar. Basically my grammar is not good, but I put it where it needs to be put. You sir did not put any grammar signs so it was hard for me to understand what was a question or where was the long pause. Other wise it was good.
Well when i wrote this, The night before i went to the Bar and all my friends i graduated with last year all came down and we partied, after the bar at one of my buddies and everyone just kinda showed up. I was on shrooms that night but when they entered we were smoking some weed and one of the girls from my grade came up to me later on in the night and started talking to me and all i could remember from the conversation was "Corwin, Who are you?". It really got to me, i started to think about myself and what not, the song is pretty my much me being haunted by the question and Black Magic it self in the song is more of a curse drugs/sex/alcohol which ever you really want to pick. So yes a user.
Your lyrics are mysterious. Just like black magic ought to, I guess.
Is this for one person or are there a few 'voices'?
I read through this a couple times before starting to interpret (well I'm trying to, anyhow) what you're saying. Correct me if I'm wrong: the author is a user of black magic, right? It's great for songs: well kept to the theme of black magic.
Hope this helped!
