Journal entry #1

4/24/1983

Hi. My name is Cora Jenkins. I'm a 17 year old female that lives in New Jersey, United States. This would be my first little diary entry I suppose. I'm your typical run of the mill girl, around average height and weight, short brown hair and grey eyes. I graduated high school at 16 years old and now am attending college classes. I'm starting these journal entries in case I die. You know that feeling you get when someone or something's watching you? The hair on your arms stand up and you can feel it in your bones? I feel it constantly. Constantly. The feeling never goes away...

I was fearful at first but i've slowly gotten used to the feeling and do not seem to notice it anymore. At least I hope that's what it believes...I have seen glimpses, shadows, quick glances at it. It's as tall as a man but it's head is too long. From what I have experienced with it it has the general shape of a man, the head is slightly too long and its eyes reflect like an animals would. It's getting closer, I can feel it.

I've tried to discuss with my mother the things I have experienced but she pays me no mind, says I'm making it up and just wants "attention". That is not the case. I will admit that I have been overdramatic in my lifetime but I'm not over exaggerating. I am terrified. Utterly terrified.

Hello there, human! I'm reviewing using the YWS S'more Method today!

Shalt we commence with the wicked S’more?

Top Graham Cracker - Cora is a seventeen year old girl who is being followed by a monster she does not know or understand. She senses that she might die. She tried to tell her Mom about it but her Mom will not listen. So Cora is on her own. :<

Slightly Burnt Marshmallow - I feel like the way Cora describes herself, like someone who is “run of the mill” is like how someone else would describe her and not how she’d describe herself. But those were just my thoughts.

Chocolate Bar - I like that she feels like she must write this so people know about it in case she dies. She can feel the presence of that “man” (very creepy description btw) and knows that there isn’t much to do about it except to talk about it. You posted this today, which adds to the creep-factor, because the date in this entry is the date of yesterday, which was the date Cora began documenting this. It feels like a very eerie and slightly interactive element.

Closing Graham Cracker - Overall, a rather spooky first entry! I’ll be sure to read more when you post it! I enjoyed reading this and I hope to hear more about the monster that follows Cora. Now…

I wish you a lovely day/night! ^v^

Must say I was curious abt the summary. Reminded me of the horror film and then ofc of the Game Theory video on that horror film XD

I do find it a bit weird that she calls herself “female” tho.

The thing abt just wanting “attention” hits home tho. (And kinda feels like a pretty modern thing compared to the 80s where this takes place) It does sound like a creepy start to the story. It’s just your narrator is a bit … too detached? But I’m curious where this is going.
