Reason for

How did I
Get like this
Become this person
I swore I'd never be
ThIs monster

Both my mind
And the mirror
Lie
In every way

Destruction
Inside and Out
Was it really
All inside
For this long

My own
Hell on Earth
I punish myself
With the demon
Within me

But maybe
There is another way
So they try
To tell me,
Convince me

Doubt encircles me
Edge of the fence
Yes, No
Maybe-
I don't know

The road
Will be long
And difficult
To travel

They say to do it
For only myself
But I can't
Like telling a bird
Not to fly

Finally
Something clicks
Somehow
Somewhere

But in truth
More like
Someone
The solution
To my equation

The reason
For my success
Because of him
I have purpose

My rock
My stronghold
My beginning
And End

Never thought I would
Have
Hold
Want
Need

And because
He is Mine
I am His
Forever

He is my Love
He is my Life
Without him
I can't imagine
And do not want to

Words cannot express
His entirety
I will spend eternity
With him
As long as
He will let me

I like this! You get the content across very well. I'd agree with dawnpath1 that if you changed some the places that you brake the lines it would make it even better! Just remember where you break the line gives extra stress to the word ending the line or starting the next.
I particularly like this stanza :
'Never thought I would
Have
Hold
Want
Need'
because of where you break the lines, they give each word particular importance.
Nice one! x

Well I liked it. It was deep, meaningful. You probably could have arranged things a little differently so that it flowed better. Otherwise it was really good. I enjoyed how it was written with mostly descriptions in the beginning, and then bringing in someone. Someone who obviously has meaning to you, or someone you hope you'll find someday. But what do I know?

I appreciate your amazing description and praise of my meager work. I do admit that the way I organize my work can be a little choppy... But thank you for your review. (:

Huh, this is pretty good. I can't really tell you to use meter, because in truth, for this poem meter isn't all that important. What I will tell you is that it's a tad bit weak. Not to undermine you or anything, but I think that if you broke you lines a bit differently and added a few words, it would be just that much better. However, I'm just some random faceless internet person who doesn't know you at all, and couldn't possibly understand how your feeling. In poem, do as you wish, right? I certainly wouldn't want a snob to tell me how to write MY poems. Maybe there's something I'm just not getting.

Yeah, I'm not the most structured writer...
You are completely correct in your opinion, and I thank you for your criticism. I take every person at their word. I actually like criticism.

I was weeping as much for him as her; we do sometimes pity creatures that have none of the feeling either for themselves or others.
