All roads lead somewhere. When I'm driving all alone in the dark, I sometimes have to remind myself that I know where I am, I'm here, right where I'm supposed to be. And even if I'm not, even if by some twist of fate or missed turn I've ended up somewhere strange, there was never a road built that didn't lead somewhere. Somewhere along the line, there will always be a house or a town where I can reorient myself and get home. Because all roads lead somewhere.
Right?
The road twists and turns, onward and upward, sideways or downhill. Continuing into the eternity of what lies just beyond my vision, the only thing that's real to me is the road and the halo of light that illuminates it. Everything else is black, engulfed in darkness. I can barely see a meter to either side of the car. I wouldn't dare become anxious, though. What a silly thing, to be afraid of a road, for don't all roads lead somewhere? Isn't this very road leading me somewhere? Taking me there? Because somewhere is better than nowhere, and anywhere is better than moving aimlessly, endlessly, inescapably. And what road has ever been made that didn't have an end, a final destination? So I push forward, into that eternity of darkness with its endless twists and turns. Because all roads lead somewhere. Don't they?

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
I like the idea that all roads lead somewhere, but after a while the idea devolves because it slowly becomes rambles. I believe that if you developed the character a bit more, and introduced us to other characters your MC as he wandered through several roads. The stories you MC has heard etc...

Expand the story, give it roots instead of leaving it floating in midair with no base.
Hope this helped,

Hey!

I liked the idea you have going, but it’s just not a story. You need to think about adding to it, because right now it’s just a thought. It could almost be a synopsis for a novel. I’m sure you’ll be able to turn this into something captivating!

Short but full of stuff. Just like what Stephen King used to say: simple but fun gets the job done...Anyway, you should try writing more and expanding it into a story. You could apply the concept of this into a story and have a larger impact on the reader. If there's no story to attract the readers, who bothers to read them? I'm not saying that this is bad. Its just that this will not have as much impact as a good story with characters and background.

Anyway, a job well done and keep on writing!!
And yes, all roads lead to somewhere!!!
