As I sit by my lonesome
My mind wanders—
What if I was really by my lonesome?
With no living being in sight
With no obligations or chatter
With no worries about another
Without a way to communicate
Seems comfortable
I can walk in the empty eerie streets
With only my company
As silence fills the air
Do I need connection or am I all I need?
Wishful thinking it might be
But what a comfortable thought it would be.

Do I need connection or am I all I need? " Expressa exatamente aquela sensação de: Somos tudo que precismaos, ou necessitamos de algo mais? Por não sermos tudo que nós precisamos, nos tornamos incompletos? Gostei muitooo!
Thank you so much for your kind words, yes that line is my favorite in the poem too. I appreciate the read and review

okay i really enjoyed how you took a new perspective on the idea of "comfort"! when i opened this piece, i definitely wasn't expecting this kind of definition of it (in a good way ><)
ahh! i immediately smiled here! caught me by surprise.
this is also a very relatable work for me (introverts yayyy) and it was refreshing to see someone who knows this feeling.
there has never been a more impactful question, i fear. i ask myself this quite often ^^'

your opening lines:
gave quite the mysterious almost ominous vibe (which built up to the "seems comfortable" line beautifully xD)
i don't know why but this sounds so peaceful. you painted the meaning of "comfort" so well.
