Just a fair warning before reading this- anytime I write a poem it usually comes out depressing; I'm good trust

The rain never stops its pattering on my window

The rain never stops its pounding on my door

The roads, they flood

The rain never pauses

I can hear the falling drops, everywhere it blows

It seems to be sunny, but not where I go

It patters and falls, thumps and calls

It’s always raining, isn’t it?

I thought the rain would stop

Once I found myself happy

What’s the point of wearing this mask

If the rain continues with a drip, drip, drip

What if the rain did stop?

If it decided to go

How would the sun shine?

That’s something I might never know

Small reminder to not use AI when reviewing my work! I'm very against it as both an artist and writer. Also, I'm not sure if it's even allowed in reviews in the first place.

Ack haven't replied yet, but I can say with 100% certainty that this is an AI review. I'm completely disgusted that you would feed someone else's work, that they put their heart into, into an AI. I'm appauled. Never review any of my works again with AI. This may end up sounding very rude, but as both an artist and writer, I am very, very against AI.

It is not AI. I'm an artist too and I'd never use AI to review someone's work, I read it so many times n now I understand why it maybe have came across like that, probably coz I still dk how to review at well. But girl if I had to use AI, you wouldn't even know coz I'm an AI Engineer.

How believe, I wish I could believe you. I have put this review through so many AI detectors, whether those were AI or not, and the all showed it as 100% AI. Also showing that you're defending yourself, as I believe most would do, you give the fact that I "wouldn't know" if you used AI. I literally don't care. I have already been given a tough week, and I don't want to argue or communicate anymore.

Hello, first this makes me think of a person with a dark cloud weighing over them, just pouring showers of damps that you feel down in the dumps,a perfect metaphor for depression right, being soaked no matter how many times you change, change your attire, attitude or mask. Yeah being under there so long I guess, you haven't felt the natural light in a while. To wonder what its warmth would feel like , would it be more comforting? that question is so chilling if it's one, one may never know.

Or its about floods in that case , Maybe one could try moving to a better environment one day😊

Hi! Thank you for your review! I am currently living in a better place right now, and this is more based from past rather than present! Have a good day/night!

From a technical standpoint, I like the consistent rhyming and use of repetition. I feel like the rain here symbolises sorrow or inner bitterness. Here's my personal interpretation—

"The rain never stops its pattering on my window

The rain never stops its pounding on my door

The roads, they flood

The rain never pauses"

One thing I notice here is you specifically add 'my' before window/ door, probably describing that sorrow keeps visiting, sometimes gently like rain patting on your window and sometimes pouring and pounding, attempting to drown you by flooding without breaks. Or maybe it's about a chain of bad events that keeps happening to the speaker without interruptions, like rain.

"I can hear the falling drops, everywhere it blows

It seems to be sunny, but not where I go

It patters and falls, thumps and calls

It’s always raining, isn’t it?"

Sometimes while everyone's lives seem bright and beautiful ours drown in floods of sorrow and I think that is well described here. I especially love the line "it seems to be sunny, but not where I go". It could also refer to a situation in which a person's life might seem picture perfect and sunny but from the inside it's just cold cold sorrow. The last question here to the unknown asking if the rain is here forever shows a sense of both hope and despair, like the speaker is tired of hoping it would go.

"I thought the rain would stop

Once I found myself happy

What’s the point of wearing this mask

If the rain continues with a drip, drip, drip"

There is a strong imagery here, that I have to mention. But I wonder what the last two lines signify. Perhaps it suggests and questions what the point of pretending is if we keep crumbling apart on the inside. (I really do hope you're alright)

"What if the rain did stop?

If it decided to go

How would the sun shine?

That’s something I might never know"

I like the cycle of hopeful and hopeless, it's a very realistic emotional rollercoaster and quite a read for us people. ''How would the sun shine?'' is something a lot of us wonder and live within the fantasy of.

Alright, that's all, keep writing ^^

Thank you for the review! I really am good, it's more of a thing based from the past, where I had to "mask" a lot of my emotions, almost all the time :')

Anygays- thank you so much for your words! /gen
