Beautiful Lady

by Anonymous

I should have never meet her
I hate feeling this way.

The first time I saw her I thought that
she would be the one to make my life complete.

After turn of events she is
just an average woman to me.

I remember the first time I meet her.

She called me on the phone and
my heart leaped with joy,
as a surge of anticipation travelled through my body.

My heart began pounding,
a lump formed in my throat.

I asked myself silently, "could this be love."

She smiled at me and told me to sit.
We talked, she ate, then we were off.

We walked along the river path
as the sun was setting and sky turned pink.

The wind was beating at out faces
the water winding along its natural course.

We felt as if we were both on top of the world
man did I enjoy her company and the silent moments we shared.

She was bringing out the best in me,
the love that I had bottled deep inside and sealed.

I was afraid to love again but she opened my heart.

She stirred something deep within
me that made me want to be so free.

Now my heart is broken
I can't stand to think of her.

The long beautiful hair,
her modest apparel, and the way
that she would light up a room with one curl of the cheek.

It's not destiny anymore
destiny has faded away and time has past.

She's just a distant memory,
a figment of my imagination that I once dreamed of.

Will I find love?
Will love find me?
Will this passion inside of me ever cease?

Love I'm waiting.
I'm wanting.
Consume me with your burning fire.

Most things happen for a reason. Though, usually, the forces that be are immature enough that the reason is comedy.
