I'm Sorry

How can I say I’m sorry,

For all that I have done.

How can I say I’m sorry,

For spoiling our fun.

I’m sorry that I hurt you,

I’m sorry that you’re mad.

I’m sorry that I made you cry,

I’m sorry I made you sad.

What I said wasn’t right,

I know now that I have hurt you.

All the things I know I did,

I’m sorry that I wounded you.

I’m sorry I didn’t listen,

I’m sorry I was selfish.

I’m sorry I hurt your feelings,

All I did was demolish.

Please forgive me I ask,

For all that I have done.

I know I don’t deserve it,

It is your right to shun.

This all I can do now,

For me to say I’m sorry.

I hope you will forgive me,

I’m sorry.

Hello! Berri here for a review! 。:.゚ヽ(´∀`。)ノ゚.:。+゚

"I'm sorry" has to be the thing I've said the most throughout my entire life. More than I've said the real pronunciation of my name, which often gets mistaken for similar names or is just butchered by people. (;¬_¬) I know there's a person in my life that I keep apologizing to, and I really hope that at one point, I'll just be able to put all of the things I've said to them behind me. I haven't been able to thus far. It's hard to get over something like what I've said to them.

Your poem was perfect for wrapping up my feelings. There were a few spelling/punctuation errors that I saw, though. "This all I can do now," near the bottom, just feels awkward. I would recommend putting a comma in front of "This", making it into "This, all I can do now," which feels a bit better. You could also just throw in an "is" in front of "This" as well, making the sentence "This is all I can do now," which also feels better.

There's also "Please forgive me I ask," which also looks weird. You can try a comma, like this, "Please forgive me, I ask," or try putting "Please forgive me..." in quotes, so it would look a little like this- "'Please forgive me,' I ask," unless it's a non-dialogue thing, y'know what I mean?

Anywho, this was an awesome, relatable poem to read. Forgive me for asking, but was this a personal thing? I'm just curious.

I really loved this. Thank you for sharing it with the community!

Berri out! ~ ヾ(〃^∇^)ノ♪

Yes it was a personal thing actually.

Greetings

The work could be easily interpreted in various ways, an apology to a lover, an apology to someone precious, a family - but always its an apology. We apologize a lot yet when we really mean it are few precious instances. Each day apologies, the word sorry, remains always at the tip of our tongues. It becomes frequent and loses its genuineness. The atmosphere of the poem remained kind of stagnant.

It would have better if it included the other persons(the one the narrator is apologizing to) reaction. The poem kind of became boundless(or that is what you meant it to be).

Thankyou for sharing your work.

Thanks for sharing this poem about a person who says he's sorry but can't really mean it. If indeed the person meant it he wouldn't be as brutal as he is. I liked the poem because it represents a very common bad habit that some humans seem to have. Or is it hobby? Whatever it is such people are to be given a very wide berth unless you want to develop high-blood pressure or a peptic ulcer.

Suggestion:

The rhyme scheme suddenly doesn't continue after he word "sad"

I’m sorry I made you sad.

What I said wasn’t right,

As a reader I was thrown off by that discontinuation.
It's as if a steady drumming is started and then becomes disorganized.

That's supposed to be the end of a stanza, and going into "What I said wasn't right' is the next stanza. Thank you though!

It still disrupts the flow. Sorry, not inmtending to offend, but that is my opinion.

Just before all you reviewers comment, YWS is not allowing me to separate or double space. I know they need to be in separate stanza's but it's not working.

For now, just use the cheap fix of using a period or whatever the heck this thing (~) is, to mark out where you want your stanzas to be.
Or do it as an image.
Either one should mend your issue for now. I know a few people having issues with the spacing, this is all I can recommend.
