The Sea Nymph

Alas, fair adventurer, what dost thou seek?
Nay, be not a passer-by;
Come, come bathe in my fountain.
Pay naught to me in your repose;
Close thy eyes and let thy sorrows flow
beneath my waterfall.
-
Sirens may sing their incredulous songs
but none as sweet as mine
To life I bring thee, death is but a breeze.
Thy skin shimmers; droplets from my stream
That though it's blue eye shone under surface,
not nearly as bright as thine!
-
My own cool waters, through thy brown hair
Mingling with tears upon thy formed face
Thou needest not these pains...
This domain shall be your sanctuary,
So relish every moment, my dear Adonis,
and let me take your heart.
-
Hush, thy sobs echo about my chasm
How I wish I could silence the misery!
Melancholy is not my preference of song.
What hast that vile world done to thy poor soul
that makest thou ache so?
Nevertheless, we are such apart
yet from my dwelling spot I watch thee.
-
Ah, too soon hast thou finished
Clothing yourself in redundant raiments
Why dost thou look about thyself?
In truth, aye, thou hast not been alone
Can thou see me, hiding behind the column?
Hear the ripple of my ocean deep;
Thou art a sea-nymph's lover.

Whoa...I loved it. It was amazing how you drew the read in and introduce us to what is happening. I really did like this and I hope that you write more because this was an amazing piece.

Ha ha yea faeries are the best ever.

I love how make the nymph say that she is, basically, "The fairest of them all". :)

Like I said before...Whoa! :)
