Useless and Meaningless

This poem sucks. It was made up in class with absolutely no effort. If you read the first letter of each line, you'll be able to find out how I came up with it.

This poem is about nothing.
How bored was
I when I wrote this?
Nothing to do but write.
Kind of weird, my state of mind.
In sort of a trance
Now.
Got to get

Into a
Thinking mode soon.

Unable to be creative as I could be.
Probably won't even remember this poem later.

Amazing how boredom in class can be
Such a good thing.

I'm starting to feel better.

Good-bye boredom.
Only thing to do now is sit.

Oh dear.

To reiterate what Incandescence said, why would you want others to read a piece of work that "sucks" so much. To show people how not to write? If you had entered this piece as something serious that you would have liked help with so you could improve on it then I would critique it constructively, but seeing as you are already resigned to the fact that it is hopelessly inadequate, why post?

In my personal opinion, it's not so horribly terrible. I do not like acrostics but it is possible to make a decent poem using one. If you tried harder to make something that you were proud of then I'm sure it would work.

3-Damentional,

This is not your virtual diary. When you admit this "sucks" (that's an understatement), I wonder what compelled you to share it with us in the first place?

The YWS is a place for serious writing endeavors--did it ever occur to you that cluttering the boards up with this garbage (which will attract attention, no doubt) does a serious disservice to writers who put an effort forward to create something worth the time of an edit?

Take care,
Brad
