i used to think
that the place we'd meet
would be
a narrow alley,
as isolated and hidden
as your thoughts could be.
rainwater in the cracks
of the road,
lampposts flickering
the closed space fluctuating
like the epitome
our bittersweet bond was.
like yarn, crocheted together
tightly. and no matter how hard someone pulled,
nothing would change.
the elasticity was adamant
as if the inevitable waves of fate
nodded in silence.
liberty stood still in confusion
and unity was now a myth.

Hi,
Delirium Nervosa here to review your poem.
I thoroughly enjoyed this poem and the language features you have used to convey meaning and create emphasis on the points that really matter. I would never have known this was written by two different poets if I hadn't read the comments below! The transition between your two poems is absolutely seamless! I am definitely in awe of this collaboration!

Hey Myth and Lib! I'm here for a review, because, well, two of my favourite people on YWS collaborating on a poem? How can I not review?
To be fair I've read this many a time on the pad but it's still as wonderful as the first time I read itI think it's really impressive how seamless the transitions between your writing is - I would never know that this was written by multiple poets. The flow is really smooth, and the ideas are for the most part well connected and continuous. Related to flow, I would usually mention that one line is a lot longer than the rest:
and perhaps suggest shortening or dividing it so it didn't seem out of place. But, in this poem, I actually really like how much longer this line is, because it sort of complements the idea of pulling on yarn.
I also like your choice not to capitalize, as it really lets the reader focus on the meaning of the words, and nothing else. I would say, since absolutely nothing else is capitalized, you could consider doing the initial "I" in lowercase, as well? Since there aren't any other places where that word shows up, it's hard to tell if keeping it capitalized was purposeful - using lowercase would seem more like a conscious decision, and makes sense with your decision not to capitalize "liberty" and "myth" later in the poem. (Technically those aren't proper nouns but knowing that they're hidden references to you two, I default expect them to be capitalized, so when they aren't, that seems like a purposeful decision.)
You use some really lovely imagery in the poem, too - I especially love the lines
because it's a clever way to move from one idea to the next, and also just a great comparison.
Also, a minor grammar nitpick, technically there should be an "as" before "isolated".
I really love your closing two lines, and how they cheekily incorporate your names, but to be quite honest, I'm not sure exactly how it ties back to the rest of the poem? The rest of the poem seems to be about a relationship/connection between two people, and even gives the sense that perhaps they're stuck together? With that interpretation, those lines could mean that they were unable to escape each other, yet they weren't fully connected, either - which is really interesting and I like how you've worded that. But I think adding a little more explanation/tying it back a bit more to the rest of the poem would really give the poem a sense of unity (pun not intended) and completion.
Overall, I really love the flow and the language you use. My only real critique would be trying to tie the last two lines back to the rest a bit more noticeably, but other than that, not much I would change!
I hope this review helps - and I hope I see more Myth-Lib collabs in the future
Keep writing <3

ahahahahahah YOU SPOTTED THE NAME REFERENCES!!!! Okay... It was kinda obvious, to be honest...
Hi. So this was meant to be a review but I thought the poem was so great I didn’t have anything to critic. I’m just wondering how did you guys managed to write it? Have a great day
The answer to that question my friend, even I do not have. Maybe @Liberty can tell you?
