Is this supposed to be that short? It feels really unfinished. And it doesn't seem to have much meaning behind it...I mean, the poem is written and structured well, but the message just isn't there, quite honestly, I don't know how you could make it so and still keep it this short. What do shards of glass have to do with being lonely? All you've done is stated how the character is alone and how that is someone related to glass on the pavement...

I guess the glass could be "lonely" because it is neglected and forgotten, but that just seems a little far fetched to me...

Other than that, I really did like this poem. It certainly wasn't wordy and there was a good degree of imagery for such a short poem.

Hi I'm Candrew. I am new to young writers society so this might not be the best review ever. For a three lined poem that was pretty good. Way better than my first poem. There is one thing I don't understand though, when you say "we" are you talking about everyone, certain people, or just kids. I'm not any good at reviewing short poems. I am hoping to have the privilege to read more of your poems and storys.

Welcome to YWS and thank you for the review!

Hai Cheetah! Saw this pop up on the peoples list so I decided I would review it :D
I'm not very good at reviewing short poems but I'll give it a shot!
First of all I like the symbolic and metaphorical meaning to this, I think it means by "We stand alone" to mean that glass is sneered at and brushed away. I don't know really. Basically I liked this, I don't usually like small poems but this is good still!
The only thing to improve is maybe to add more verses with "We stand alone" on the end of each one to expand it a bit more. Although it's your choice really! :D
Overall I like this and I hope this feedback helps you :)
Alex out.
