“Technology Going Forward”

Before, Filipinos live in their simplest ways, playing simple outdoor games, like taya-tayaan, luksong baka and tagu-taguan for entertainment, using charcoal or dry woods for cooking, riding trains, kalesas etc. for transportation and many more. “Technology has definitely become a major influence in how people live. Decades ago, we use to do things manually. As time passed by, we invent tools that can help use accomplish task more quickly and efficiently. For business, there are technologies today that can be used to make the daily operation more productive” Pond (2013). “Technology is the making, modification, usage, and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, systems, and methods of organization, in order to solve a problem, improve a pre-existing solution to a problem, achieve a goal, handle an applied input/output relation or perform a specific function, it can also refer to the collection of such tools, including machinery, modifications, arrangements and procedures” (Technology par 1). Today many new gadgets are showing up like phones with many features and many more. Our technology today is growing fast. Many companies are producing different products that can surely helps us a lot with our daily activities, for example cars, unlike before we were just using kalesa for transportation and I takes too much time for us to reach our destination but today vehicles like buses and jeepneys helps us a lot to travel faster. Also the use of cellphones before we are just using letter at hat also takes too much of your time to receive or to send our message but now only seconds are the differences. Therefore technology helps us a lot to make our lives connected, perform works faster, make our lives more convenient and continue our evolution.

Technology helps us a lot in terms of faster and convenient production of goods, long distance communication and shorter time of transportation. By using machines, this helps us to generate more speed and strength especially in the field of production. Unlike before we are just communicating with someone who’s far from us by sending letters that takes too much time to be received by the receiver. Today we are already using text messages and social Media like facebook, twitter, skype, and many more for texting, chatting, expressing our feelings and video chatting. Through these we will just wait for few seconds to receive those messages. According to Hewitt (2010) “Rechargeable Batteries, with the high cost of disposable batteries it makes economical and ecological sense to go away from disposable batteries whenever you can. Modern rechargeable batteries can be an amazing addition to any tech gadget arsenal, but when they are less than brand new you can never know exactly how long they will hold a charge.” He also stated that, “Food Processing Machines, especially juicers, can make you healthier and happier. It is amazing how many health benefits are found when using fresh fruits and vegetables, and the juicers that can process these foods into a smooth liquid.”

“Evolution in the biological world has been pretty much accepted. Those who once argued against it have settled down. Most people now accept that our existence is the result of an extremely long history of evolutionary process. This process is responsible for the diversity among species on this planet, and is also responsible for the development of conscious, creative human minds” Silby (2000). Human evolve through time and invent machines, gadgets and vehicles to make their life and works easier. Like man, gadgets and vehicles are also evolving. These items might start very simple then upgrade to show new features that we may enjoy and help us to make our lives convenient, like phones, many of those phones today are touch screens and some are being commanded by using censors, they are also being lighter and bigger. New vehicles were also being invented, like bullet trains that are really faster than steam powered trains. They were invented or even developed for us to have an easier life style. Most of us are enjoying these evolutions especially in vehicles and gadgets because this really helps us in education, production, transportation and work.

Technology helps us a lot especially in communicating and being connected with those person that are far from us. We were also connected with different countries for proper communication and knowing news inside or even outside of our country. Those things are will not be like this when there is no technology. Social Media like facebook are also one way of being connected. One example was when there was an old lady that were looking for his husband and there is someone who posted the picture of this lady that needs help and her search became even faster because of the help of those people who saw that link. Another example was the campaign rally that was Anti-pork barrel that was only posted in facebook, but many people attended this even they were from different part of our country. Connecting with different parts of our country or even the whole world was one of the advantages of technology.

Technology is very important because it has different advantages that help us in almost all of our activities in every day of our life. According to Chetty (2013) "Technological innovation and Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) represent a way for developing world nations to foster economic development, improve levels of education and training, as well as address gender issues within society." It makes our life easy. This also provides us different ways of communication and be connected with every part of the country or even the world. Even it helps us a lot it even evolve to show new features that can generate works easier. In simple words technology make our lives connected, perform works faster, make our lives more convenient and continue our evolution.
