There just an incentive to get you to critique. We like critiquers!

You get 0.2 points for every word in a post, maximum 50 points per post. The only place you don't get points is General Discussion.
You spend 150 points every time you post something on the Read & Review (by clicking Submit Something right under it), but that's offset by the 50 points you get back (You're asked to submit something long so it's critique-able).
If you start a Storybook (a form of RPG) then it costs 500 points. Each post you make on a storybook costs you 5 points. I would think that's offset again by the word count points.
Points are used to determine the Featured Member, who is chosen every two weeks.
Points are reset at 300 every two weeks, to make room for a new featured member.
The top five high-point counts are visible on Home.

Ink is blood. Paper is bandages. The wounded press books to their heart to know they're not alone.
Thanks everyone, that really helped. Nope, I have no more questions. If I think of anything I will post it here for sure, though.
Seeya later & thanks,
