I absolutely loved it. I've read the entire series, the last three in the Ender side, and the Bean parallels. And I've loved them; the parallels especially.

Medieval Lit! Come here to find out who Chaucer plagiarized and translated - and why and how it worked in the late 1300s.
possibly, but some of the sequels rocked, such as ender's shadow, shadow of the hegemon, and shadow puppets.

Dargquon Ql'deleodna: (n) "Dar-qu-on Kel-del-ode-na" something i made up that sounded cool, partially based off of the Drow Drizzt Do'Urden's name style

"In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function...We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful." ~C.S. Lewis
Definitely a classic - I was incredibly jealous when I heard they study it in English Lit. in some states in America. While the first will always remain my favourite, I also love all the sequals: his invention and philosophy are exceptional, and all the books contain some of the most crisply intelligent dialogue I've ever read. Excellent books.
