A crow blinked . Opals.
Eyes snap shut in a white flash,
Open. I am gone.

This is a style of poem that I never did understand. But I suppose I don't have to. I mean, not everyone is going to "get" everything... I guess what I'm trying to say is that if I don't understand you poem, it's my failing and not yours. You know, now that I think about it, it reminds me of the poems that beat nicks would read while playing the bongos. Not to say that your a beat nick.

Wait a minute, is this a haiku? Okay, it's all coming together now. I see what's going on. I think I do get it.

I like the imagery. Ah, fleeting life. By bringing up the crow, are you alluding to Native American mythology and the crows role in the life and death? Or is that just me?
I could be wrong, but I don't think Haiku is supposed to have punctuation.

For a second, I thought it said cow, and it was soooooo funny... but then I reread it. XD

Even so, interesting imagery. :)

I read it as cow, too. The only part I don't understand is the reference to opals.

here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a treee called life; which grows higher than the soul can home or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)
