Impeccable you;
Dare I hope you exist?
Vain, Vain-- but I wish!

Oh, the dreams of your face,
The features I trace;
Chiseled lips I must kiss,

Surreal is thine eyes,
Devoid of all lies;
A sincere, steady gaze:
Oh heart, how you race!

Impossible You,
Unreal, dreamy you;
Man made of ink:
I love thee, I think.

But Impossible You,
Inanimate you--
Heart and world shook,
You're a man from a book.

Well first of all I think this is a very nice poem; you are very talented.

I don't really see anything wrong with this. I think it is very beautiful

If only! I wish. - Now my problem with this line is I don't get what exactly you are saying. Are you saying "I wish" as in you are wishing for a person like this, or are you saying " I wish" as in that would never be possible? It is very confusing to me please pm me about that because, i don't know, maybe the meaning should have been obvious-

Truth is I didn't have Mr. Darcy in mind when I wrote this. Quite a feat since I think of him incessantly. The man from a book line came out of the blue.
