This Is Not The End

She is

tangerine skies the day after rain
eveloping his mind in wonder
Tangerine

He is

a piece of fresh peel
flaked and torn from his mother
singing Tangerine

They

float in tangerine heavens,
filled with images of China,
and the sounds of Jefferson Airplane.

sing to “Somebody to Love”
as it encases their hearts
and implants self-security.

know in their minds
everything is perfect
though her bruises only multiply
and he can’t begin to save her.

drift off though haunted
by the music of the night
and the memories of Suzanne.

fumble in the dark,
the burgendy flames flickering only sometimes
in their induced darkness.

serenade in the shower replaying their lines of love,
afraid the gloom will be their only savoir.

know they can’t live like this forever
threads of life cut each time the blood runs free

see crimson and flesh only,
where he tears his skin implusively
silver metal frigid against his raw skin

think they’re alone in madness
watching as the sirens run away
with loved ones

They

are so sure this is not the end

She is

crying in the rain
trembling with memories
of when stars were braided in her hair

He is

raining down forgetfullness
colored by crimson rivers
that run down his cheek

She is

dousing away bitter yesterdays
while orphaned fingers, aching with yearning
seek her impoverished heart

He is

clad in crucified reveries
etched into his calloused skin
with dark, forgiving ink

They

are still in love
though they fall out every day

live in lice
though royalty they are

She is

his consort

and

He is

her sovereign

and

They

are so sure this is not the end

This is really well thought.. unique

see crimson and flesh only,
where he tears his skin implusively
silver metal frigid against his raw skin

.. a bit drama?

Well a nice this-is-not-the-end ending..lol

I didn't really get it to be honest, it didn't make sense to me. Not much anyway
Cause i'm a one man,
I'm a one man,
I'm a one man,
I'm a one man revolution.
