You make it impossible to stay,
But even harder to leave,
I'm desperate to fly away,
If you'd only set me free.

I'm sick of these four walls,
I need a change of scenery,
But there's a bolt lock on the door,
And you've got the only key.

I'm searching for an escape route,
But there's not one to be seen,
So desperate to fly away,
If you'd only let me free.

Hey, I reallyed loved this poem I can definatly relate to this. Its relatable and easy to read. Your wording rolls right off the tongue, and was short and sweet. I read it over twice I loved so much. The only part I had a bit of an issue with was this one;
But there's a bolt lock of the door
I think it would be better if you said
But there's a bolt lock on the door
That's all I could find, keep up the great writing!

I really liked this piece, I could feel the emotions in the poem even though it was only three stanzas. Also I liked the idea of being trapped and needing to be free, because it can apply to many things. Like you could be literally trapped or held against your will by someone or this could mean that you feel like someone is holding you back from living your life, or that even you are holding yourself back. This poem hit straight to home for me, the only mistake I noticed was in this stanza:
I'm sick of these four walls,
I need a change of scenery,
But there's a bolt lock of the door, Did you mean for this to be, "...bolt lock on the door,"
And you've got the only key.

Great job!
Peace,

Thanks for the reviews and, yeah, it was meant to be "on" :). I've changed that now.

This was great, the only thing I found
If you'd only let me free

I think you should stick to the title and say
If you'd only set me free

other than that I love the ryhimg, something I can't do, and it pulled me in from the first word, keep it up.
