Parallel lines are lines that never intersect.
- Calculus for Economists, 2005

I could draw a line through
The quadrants of existence,
Make formulae that equate
You = Me.

But, we will never meet.

I could change all the variables,
Keep you as constant;
Solve all the possibilities
Of you and me,

But, we will never meet.

I could be your x, y, z,
The definition of your universe,
The solution to all your god-
Damned problems.

But we will never, ever meet.

Spoiler
I wrote this during my ultra mind boggling multi-variate economics calculus class. It's an appeal to math to stop giving me a hard time.XD

Ahhh! You know the way to my heart... multi-variable ecomonics calculus class? THAT IS SO COOL.

Anyway!

Keep you as constant; <-- I think this would sound better as "keep you a constant"

The solution to all your god-
Damned problems. <-- The split here looks a little strange!

Also, it seems like you don't actually end the poem! I think you need to write an ending for this. :) Maybe something about parallel meeting? I think in non-Euclidean geometry, that's actually possible! :D

IT IS? O___O The premise of my poem is ruined. HAHA. I shall look into it, definitely. I get what you mean by this seeming unfinished. Thanks a lot. I shall edit accordingly. And yes, multi-variate calculus is very, very cool. Indeed. Yes.:|

Eek! Don't worry! Non-Euclidean geometry is a very special geometry. That doesn't mean that Euclidean geometry doesn't work though! However, Euclidean geometry holds several assumptions, like parallel lines never meeting. However, if you change the assumptions, you can completely overhaul math as you know it. In fact, that's what many mathematicians do! It's very exciting stuff. :D

Wow, wonderful poem. Brings backs memories of maths class. I have absolutely nothing constructive to say but it's a great poem and you should be proud.

Wow, this is really creative, and I don't think that I have much advice to give you. Maybe, if anything, I would have made the italicized lines at the end of each stanza all different, as oppose to leaving the first two the same. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
Need reviews?
I'd be happy to give them.

Haha nice idea! I like it, except for the cursing, which I'm never a fan of. But it's your poem. Creative and original! :P
