The vast majority of stories involve humans or at least humanoid creatures (elves, vampires, etc.). But have any of you ever written a story with no humans at all?

One of my first stories, when I was about 6, was about a group of bunnies with a monster truck. I've also started a story with a squirrel, salamander, dragonfly, and chickadee, but didn't get far.

I'm also currently writing a story about a newborn spirit named Kalu (called Kalu, Newborn Spirit), in a world where spirits wander until they are granted an animal form.

Bunnies with monster trucks? You have got to let me read that! I'm serious, that story sounds so good and funny. I haven't written a story without humans or humanoid creatures so I might try that. Thanks for the inspiration.

Haha, for me, I used to do Animaniacs/Tiny Toons/Looney Tunes fanfics. Amazing stuff, lol. I also made lots of stories with pigs and horses. And there was that story with the carnivorous goats... that was awesome. :P

Carnivorous goats?! Holy crap! Gosh, that's interesting. I'm thinking of making my no-human story about the life of a baby bobcat.

I wrote a story of a pig who could fly. I think red bull stole it from me.

I wish I could. I don't have the file anymore. :( All I remember besides the bunnies with monster trucks was that they went on a camping trip and brought Monopoly.

Well, I wrote a poem about a basketball once. I don't know if that counts, though. Ahaha

Aww sad face! I won't get to read the bunnies and monster truck story? That makes me super sad. Oh well, I'll get over it.

I actually don't think so. The thing is humans, naturally, have a tendency to care most about other humans.
Spoiler! :
I like people thinking that I have something so scandalous to say that I put it in spoiler tags, and I'm sorry that because of this selfish desire you were roped into reading this for not real lasting value.

Critiq is right, but that's why stories about animals use personification to make the animals human like. I used to read Gary Kilworth when I was younger and really loved his books. They were about weasels I think, but they acted like humans and had their own human-like culture and everything. I've never written anything not about humans though.
