Well, seeing as a lot of kids need inspiration now, I'd thought I'd try and help. A lot of you happen to have trouble with titles or character names or things of that nature? Well, I can give you something that might just help. Music has been a turning point for my writing ever since I graduated high school. Back then my only inspirations were crazy dreams that came too rarely. Now music is what drives me to write, and to write excellentely, if possible.
This thread may or may not be appropriate for this forum, or for YWS at all; if it is not, then I apolgize, and I'm sure one of the mods will lock this thread or move it or whatever. But here goes nothing. This thread is for people to be able to discuss what bands/music genres physically or mentally move or rattle them. The music will reveal the depths of your soul and your mind. What I'd like for this thread to be is a discussion of these bands, and why they inspire you so much. I'd also like to start putting up links to the website last.fm where you can listen to the bands for free, so that everyone can get a taste of it, and who knows? It may just inspire them.
To start with me, I'll post links to the bands that have been driving me lately:
Sunn 0))): probably one of the most terrifying bands in existence right now, I really think anyone who listens to these guys will be able to create a hell on earth in their writings. No, these guys aren't black metal or anything, but description of them is a waste of time. Just listen and you will understand:

Another band I listen is the one man dark ambient band Lustmord, who I'm sure some of you have heard before. Why is that? Because his work has been in movies like Underworld, that's why. My favorite album by him is his newest one, OTHER. It features men like Adam Jones from Tool, and King Buzzo from the Melvins. Creepy stuff: http://www.rhapsody.com/lustmord/other
And finally, this collaboration just inspired me to write a poem. It's the band Melvins joining with Lustmord to create a crazy album called Pigs of the Roman Empire. At some moments, you won't know whether to consider this musically. I think of it humbly as a tribal-rock-ambient album: http://www.last.fm/music/Lustmord/Pigs+ ... man+Empire
Unfortunately, you won't be able to hear that last one on last.fm because they don't have it. Just look it up on google and I'm sure you can find some streaming website that will allow you to listen to it streamed online.
So let's hear what you're listening to to inspire your creative methods.
