It depends on which work you're talking about. I really liked 'Beka Cooper', and am awaiting the next installment with eagerness. I also liked 'Trickster's Choice' and 'Trickster's Queen.' But the Alanna series...couldn't stand them. What about you?

I love her 'magic circle' series and I didn't see anything wrong with the Alanna series. I thought they were very interesting. 'The protector of the small' quartet that were a sort of follow on of that were pretty good too.
I haven't read the others yet but they're on my list...
I was supposed to read tricksters choice for my book club but in fact IT BORED ME. I was countlessly mocked for not finishing it but it bored me beyond belief.
My sister loves her work. I read Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen because she told me I should. I thought they were pretty good, but her style isn't my favorite.

I read her Protector of the Small and Lioness Rampant series, and I liked them a lot, but that might just be my love for anything medieval I just ordered the first of her Circle of Magic books, because I got the last not realizing it was part of a series, and now I have to read the ones leading up to it.
The beautiful part of writing is that you don't have to get it right the first time, unlike, say, a brain surgeon.

I hated the circle of magic series, actually. It had too many POVs and I was quite confused. However, I loved her Lioness quartet. This, of course, made me read all the other quartets of Tortall (though Alanna's story is, perhaps, the most awesome).

I like all of them a bit. I haven't finished the Trickster series yet, but I'm working on it! Will of the Empress was probably the most amazing to me -- it was interesting to see how the characters had developed over all that time (even though the thing with Daja was... weird. ). It's also very interesting to note the differences between Lioness Rampant and Protector of the Small. For example, it shows a lot that Kel was able to stay a virgin throughout earning her shield, and Alanna, well, wasn't.
