What are you reading at the moment?

Almost finished with The Jungle...

Almost finished with Faust...

Almost finished with Chesterton's Selected Essays...

And now I'm back at Gogol's Dead Souls. I can't seem to finish that one, for the life of me.

So, I guess, unlike me, you read more than one book at a time??? And how can you not finish Faust? When I read Faust, I think I finished it in two days! Perhaps my version was short....(or?)

Currently reading The Metamorphoses by Ovid, and loving it. It's so fun!

I'm reading a little sci-fi doozy called Otherland by Tad Williams. It's okay.

I'm also reading Speculations which is an anthology of science fiction stories edited by Asimov.

I'm in a sci-fi mood as you can tell. I'm also kind of doing a bit of research for the market.

The Useless Man -- Maksim Gorky.

I still prefer Dostoyevsky; though Gorky has a sometimes refreshing tone, direct and free from too much morose pondering or page-length paragraphs.

The House of the Dead -- Dostoyevsky.

The Devil Wears Prada by...someone. I dunno. It's fairly stupid so far...

The Empire of the Wolves by a french author named Jean-Christophe Grange. It says it's sold just just shy of half a million copies worldwide and is very popular in France, so I guess i'm not the only one enjoying it.

I'm starting Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. Let you know when I finish it!

I just finished Sabriel so now i'll be reading Abhorsen or Lyraiel. Whichever comes next. I can't remember right now.

It was really good actually =] It was one of those books you can't put down and you end up finishing them in less than a few days.

...... I really like Garth Nix for silly reasons.
