Cinderella is my favorite Disney movie of all time!!!!!!!! I love Beauty and the Beast, too.

Why didn't I see this thread before?

Yay, now I can memorize all the Disney songs and freak my friends out!
"I will have to tell you, you have bewitched me body and soul..." --Mr. Darcy, P & P, 2005 movie
"You pierce my soul." --Cpt. Frederick Wentworth

Got YWS?

Basically, if it comes out of Aladdin or Peter Pan, I love it (oh, and gyr (from a few posts above) I don't think I've ever liked a Disney sequel). Not to say I don't love the rest of the Disney songs and/or movies, it's just those movies in particular don't (I think) include a single song I don't like.

To add to the growing list of lyrics:

"The second star to the right
Shines in the night for you
To tell you that the dreams you plan
Really can come true

The second star to the right
Shines with a light that's rare
And if it's Never Land you need
It's light will lead you there

Twinkle, twinkle little star
So I'll know where you are
Gleaming in the skies above
Lead me to the one who loves me

And when you bring him my way
Each time we say "Goodnight"
We'll thank the little star that shines
The second from the right"

I love all the disney songs, the films wouldn't exist without the music! My favourites (judging by the songs) are Aladdin, Little Mermaid and Mulan.

Ooh, a place to confess my love for Disney music! My favourite films (musically speaking) have to be: The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Tarzan, a couple of songs from Pochahontas and Aladdin, and "Higitus Figitus" from The Sword in the Stone. Every time I think of "Hockety Pockety Wockety Wack" I curl up *snort* Also, (you'll hate me for this) I love the music from The Lion King 2. It's just so much fun!

Anyways, some of my personal favourite songs:

"Circle of Life" - The Lion King

From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There's more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round

It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life...

It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life

"Belle" - Beauty and the Beast

Belle:
Little town, it's a quiet village
Every day like the one before
Little town full of little people
Waking up to say...

Townsfolk:
Bonjour
Bonjour
Bonjour
Bonjour
Bonjour

Belle:
There goes the baker with his tray, like always
The same old bread and rolls to sell
Every morning just the same
Since the morning that we came
To this poor provincial town

Townsfolk:
Good morning, Belle
Belle:
good morning monsieur
Townsfolk:
where are you off to?
Belle:
the bookshop, I just finished te most wonderful story
about a beanstalk, and an ogar, and a---
townsfolk: that's nice. MARIE the baguettes, hurry up

Townsfolk:
look, there she goes
the girl is strange, no question
dazed and distracted, can't you tell?
never part of any crowd
cause her head's up on some cloud
no denying she's a funny girl, that Belle

Man 1: bonjour
Woman 1: good day
Man 1: how is your family?
Woman 2: bonjour
Man 2: good day
Woman 2: how is your wife?
Woman 3: I need....six eggs
Man 3: that's too expensive!

Belle: there must be more than this provincial life!

Man: ah, Belle
Belle: Good morning. I've come to return the book I borrowed
Man: finished already?
Belle: oh I couldn't put it down. have ya got anythin' new?
Man: (chuckle) not since yesterday
Belle: that's alright. I'll borrowww, this one
Man: that one? but you've read it twice!
Belle: well it's my favorite: far off places,
daring sword fights, magic spells, a prince in disguise!
Man: if you like it all that much it's yours!
Belle: but sir?!?
Man: I insist!
Belle: well thank you, thank you very much!

Townsfolk:
look, there she goes, that girl is so peculiar
I wonder if she's feeling well
with a dreamy, far-off look
and her nose stuck in a book
what a puzzle to the rest of us is Belle

Belle:
ohhhhhh....isn't this amazing?
it's my favorite part because....you'll see
here's where she meets Prince Charming
but she won't discover that it's him
till chapter three

Woman:
now it's no wonder that her name
means "beauty"
her looks have got no parallel

Shopkeeper:
but behind that fair facade
I'm afraid she's rather odd
very different from the rest of us

Townsfolk:
she's nothing like the rest of us
yes, different from the rest of us is Belle

Lefou: wow you didn't miss a shot gaston!
you're the greatest hunter in the whole world!
Gaston:I know
Lefou: no beast alive stands a chance against you, haha...and
no girl for that matter
Gaston: it's true lefou, and I've got my sight set on that one
Lefou: t-the inventor's daughter!?
Gaston: she's the one, the lucky girl I'm going to marry
Lefou: but she's--
Gaston: the most beautiful girl in town
Lefou: I know--
Gaston: that makes her the best! and don't I derseve the best?
Lefou: well of couse, I mean ya do, but I (mumbling)
Gaston: right from the moment when I met her, saw her
I said she's gorgeous and I fell
here in town it's only she
who's as beautiful as me
so I'm making plans to woo and marry Belle

Silly Girls:
look there he goes! isn't he dreamy?
monsieur Gaston! oh,he's so cute!
be still my heart! I'm hardly breathing!
he's such a tall, dark, strong, and hansome brute!

Man1:bonjour
Gaston:pardon!
Man2:good day
Man3:mais oui!
Matron:you call this bacon?
Woman1:what lovley grapes!
Man4:some cheese...
Woman2:...ten yards!
Man4:...one pound..
Gaston:`scuse me!
Cheese merchant:i'll get the knife
Gaston:please let me through!!
Woman1:this bread...
Man5:those fish.....
Woman1:...it's stale
Man5:...they smell!
Baker: madame's mistaken!

Belle: there must be more than this provincial life!

Gaston: just watch....I'm going to make Belle my wife!

Townsfolk:
look there she goes....a girl who's strange but special
a most peculiar mademoiselle
it's a pity and a sin
she doesn't quite fit in
cause she really is a funny girl
a beauty but a funny girl
she really is a funny girl.....that Belle!!

(random "bonjour"s)

"Beauty and the Beast" - Beauty and the Beast

Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
then somebody bends
Unexpectedly

Just a little change
Small to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither prepared
Beauty and The Beast

Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise

Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bitter-sweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong

Certain as the sun
Rising in the east

Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the Beast

"Under the Sea" - The Little Mermaid

The seaweed is always greener
In somebody else’s lake

You dream about going up there
But that is a big mistake

Just look at the world around you
Right here on the ocean floor

Such wonderful things surround you
What more are you looking for

Under the sea, under the sea
Darlin’ it’s better
Down where it’s wetter,
Take it from me

Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away

While we devotin’
Full time to floatin’
Under the sea

Down here all the fish are happy
As off through the waves day roll

The fish on the land ain’t happy
They're sad 'cause they're in a bowl

But fish in the bowl is lucky
They're in for a worser fate

One day when the boss gets hungry
Guess whos goin’ be on the plate(uh-oh)

Under the sea, under the sea
Nobody beats us
Fry us and eat us in fricasee

We what the land folks love to cook
Under the sea we off the hook

We got no troubles life is the bubbles

Under the sea, under the sea
Since life is sweet here
We got the beat here naturally

Even the strugeon an’ the ray
They get the urge an’ start to play

We got the spirit
You got to hear it under the sea

The newt play the flute
The carp play the harp
The plaice play the bass
And they're soundin sharp.
The bass play the brass
The chub play the tub
The fluke are the duke of the soul
(yeah)

They ray he can play
He lings on the strings
He trout rockin’ out
The blackfish she sings
The smelt and the sprat
They know where it’s at
An’ Oh. That blowfish blow

Under the sea(under the sea)
Under the sea(under the sea)

When the sardine
Begin the beguine it’s music to me

What do they got, a lot of sand
We got a hot crustacean band

Each little clam here
Know how to jam here under the sea

Each little slug here
Cutin’ a rug here under the sea

Each little snail here
Know how to wail here
That’s why it’s hotter under the water
Ya' we in luck here
Down in the muck here under the sea!!

"You'll Be In My Heart" - Tarzan

Come stop your crying
It will be all right
Just take my hand
Hold it tight

I will protect you from all around you
I will be here
Don't you cry

For one so small, you seem so strong
My arms will hold you, keep you safe and warm
This bond between us can't be broken
I will be here
Don't you cry

'Cause you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more

You'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be in my heart, always
Always

"He Lives In You" - The Lion King musical & The Lion King 2 (musical version is the best)

Night
And the spirit of life
Calling

Oh, oh, iyo
Mamela [Listen]
Oh, oh, iyo

And a voice
Just the fear of a child
Answers

Oh, oh, iyo
Oh, mamela [Listen]
Oh, oh, iyo

Ubukhosi bo khokho [Throne of the ancestors]
We ndodana ye sizwe sonke [Oh, son of the nation)]

Wait
There's no mountain too great
Oh, oh, iyo
Hear the words and have faith
Oh, oh, iyo
Have faith

Hela hey mamela [Hey, listen]

(Chorus)
He lives in you
He lives in me
He watches over
Everything we see
Into the water
Into the truth
In your reflection
He lives in you

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala [Here is a lion and a tiger]
(repeat)

(repeat third verse)

(repeat chorus)

My personal favourite is "He Lives In You", but only the one in the stage musical version. Other than that, I would choose "Circle of Life". Speaking of the musicals, I have the cast recordings (I'm a slight Disney music, umm fan) of Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and Tarzan, and they have all the original songs, bigger and better than before, as well as some great new ones (for instance, "He Lives In You" was put into the TLK musical). They're just brilliant. I've seen TLK as well, and it's amazing! I would definitely recommend! Anyway, I've bored you with my lyrics and ranting - you may get on with your day!
There's always been a lot of tension between Lois and me, and it's not so much that I want to kill her, it's just, I want her to not be alive anymore.
