Really, this is unanswerable. If a wood chuck was to chuck wood (meaning, chew), we would need a time restraint. At a time? In an hour? A day? A year? His Life? I would wager the wood chucked would be a substantial amount if we consider his entire life.

Chuck does not, never has, and never will mean chew. The only definitions I've heard for it are A) to regurgitate, or B) to discharge. I think we're talking about all at once. Either way, Bob knows. Note that we haven't said which Bob it is we're asking...

chuck as a verb:

1. To pat or squeeze fondly or playfully, especially under the chin.
2.
a) To throw or toss: chucked stones into the water.
b) Informal. To throw out; discard: chucked my old sweater.

So is the woodchuck actually just playfully patting the wood??
