I read that Camus is the guy behind absurdism. Is he the one who invented this philosophy. I'm trying to mainly figure out his contribuation to French and other country's literature. Would you also say he is directly and indirectly behind other absurdism works after him?

How else did Albert Camus and his novel, The Stranger, impact literature?

Have a comprehensive encyclopedia entry on his contributions to philosophy. Enjoy.
