I wasn't going to post this here but I thought I might as well. I have another pointless project to complete which requires me to hassle other people. Therefore, please choose a couple of these questions about external camera flashes and give me some answers. :D Or you can answer them all but I wouldn't expect you to have the time.

1. Do you own an external flash or would you like to?
2. Do you think external flashes are better than built-in flashes?
3. Why?
4. Do you believe that an external flash is necessary to take good photographs or is a built-in flash enough?
5. Thinking about both external and built-in flashes, what are the differences between the two? (Quality of photos, methods of usage, etc)
6. What are the 'cons' of using an external flash?
7. What are the 'cons' of using a built-in flash?
8. Is there anything else you'd like to say which could help me answer the question is an external flash necessary?
I bought a cactus. A week later it died. I got depressed because I thought Damn, I am less nurturing than a desert.

I don't know that much about external flash and rarely use flash at all but @manisha can help here, I believe!

"The trouble with Borrowing another mind was, you always felt out of place when you got back to your own body, and Granny was the first person ever to read the mind of a building. Now she was feeling big and gritty and full of passages. 'Are you all right?' Granny nodded, and opened her windows. She extended her east and west wings and tried to concentrate on the tiny cup held in her pillars."
— Terry Pratchett, Discworld: Equal Rites
