I write Historical Fiction and Fantasy a lot, a lot a lot. I thought I'd like to share my research links, etc. with y'all.

Online Etymology Dictionary: When I want to know the origin of a word, term or phrase, or if I want to know if a word, term, or phrase existed at a certain time I go here.

GodChecker: The most fun mythology site ever!

Encyclopedia Mythica: Just as the title suggestions an extensive mythology, folklore, relgious omnibus.

Behind the Name: Character names galore!

Earthly Delights: This is a website by the band of the same name which has information on dance, music and costumes.

Charlotte's Web: Although this site is for Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre, it offers a lot of information and insight into Victorian life.

Middle Ages: This is a site maintained by the University of Oregon about modern novels set in the middle ages.

The Richard III Foundation: A site all about Richard III of England and 15th century England.

Old West: A good site about the American West, 19th century.

The Dectective and the Toga: Dedicated to historical mysteries in Classical Roman times.

The Napoleonic War Series: From The War Times Journal, a list of articles from/about the time period.

The War Times Journal: The main WTJ site.

Student Project, History Galore: Sam sent me the link. Man, this is an interesting and useful site.

Uh, Lisa, the whole reason we have elected officials is so we don't have to think all the time. Just like that rainforest scare a few years back: our officials saw there was a problem and they fixed it, didn't they?
