For the book I'm currently working on, the major factions will each have a different (real) region from which the characters' names originate. I have 9 of these factions, and have already decided for 2 of them, and have an idea for the rest. What are some cool cultures to draw names from? It doesn't matter what era it's in. At the moment I have an Edo period Japanese based culture, and a 16th century english based culture. I would like to have something that fits a nomadic culture as well, but didn't know what.
