I sighed and didn't bother to check the Munchkin and Flying Monkey lists. I was an understudy. Again. To my sister. I hate my life.
Lizzy looked over my shoulder at the list. She could barely contain her smile, but she said, "Cool. You're the Dorothy understudy."
"Yeah. Too bad Becky's never sick."
I scanned the list, and one name jumped out at me- George McIntyre. He was in choir, sure, but he was- he played some sort of sport. Hey, I know he had a letterman jacket. Point is, he never seemed the type to audition for the musical, let alone have time for the practices.
As I was standing there, I became a bit oblivious to the crowd pushing up to see the list. Derek McIntyre brushed up againist me.
"Sorry," he said. "I didn't see you, Becky." I sighed. If it was the first time someone had called me by my older sister's name, I would have freaked. Unfortunatly, people did that all the time, and Derek was the leader of the pack.
