I sighed and didn't bother to check the Munchkin and Flying Monkey lists. I was an understudy. Again. To my sister. I hate my life.

Lizzy looked over my shoulder at the list. She could barely contain her smile, but she said, "Cool. You're the Dorothy understudy."

"Yeah. Too bad Becky's never sick."

I scanned the list, and one name jumped out at me- George McIntyre. He was in choir, sure, but he was- he played some sort of sport. Hey, I know he had a letterman jacket. Point is, he never seemed the type to audition for the musical, let alone have time for the practices.

As I was standing there, I became a bit oblivious to the crowd pushing up to see the list. Derek McIntyre brushed up againist me.

"Sorry," he said. "I didn't see you, Becky." I sighed. If it was the first time someone had called me by my older sister's name, I would have freaked. Unfortunatly, people did that all the time, and Derek was the leader of the pack.

short, very short. has potential though, liking the sister/sister bit. Hope you expand that in the next chapter

I remembered posting a comment on here! Oh well!

This was good, and as ciago said, VERY SHORT. We don't have very much time to understand what is going on. I would recommend posting in larger sections, that way you can post more of your story and then you satisfy us.

Other than that for the actual story:

You did a great job! Your dialog was really good and believable. Kudos! It was well written and made us wonder what was going to happen. This is going to turn out really good. Keep writing and I'll keep reading.

As has already been said, this is really too short to critique. I know you don't want to post something TOOO long because people might get bored reading it, but you would be fine with something at least three times longer than this, I'd say.

So... please post something longer! You'll get more reviews.
