Fortunately, a bird flies by and distracts the tree.

Unfortunately the bird is sucked up into a jet engine and causes a massive crash.

Fortunately, the bird reincarnated into a tree.

Unfortunately, the tree caught on fire.

Then was reincarnated into another tree, this time fireproof.

Unfortunately, a fairy godmother pops by and doesn't like the way the tree looks, and so, poofs it to an alternate dimension.

Fortunately, that dimension was Pokemon, and the tree turned into a Sudowoodo.

Unfortunately, almost nobody knew what a Sudowoodo was, so depressed and lonely, the tree dissolved into nothingness.

Fortunately, the tree met another Sudowoodo, they became best friends ,so he didn't disolve into nothingless.

Unfortunately, a Sudowoodo-assassin arrived, and cut their heads off, mounting them on his wall.

Fortunately, a clan of Sudowoodo-assassins appeared and asked the newly-arrived Sudowoodo-assassin to join them to kill other innocent non-assassin Sudowoodos so they could paste their heads on the wall.

Unfortunately, there weren't any innocent non-assassin Sudowoodos there. XD

(Haha. This is fun! ^o^)

Fortunately, an innocent non-assassin Sudowoodo casually walked in.

Unfortunately, he felt into a pit he didn't see, and died.
