College ate my life, basically. This is closed.

Despite any rumor you've heard, I can critique. Really. And here's where you can ask for critiques without me conveniently losing your PM!

For poems:

Give me the name, genre, and link to your piece.

Example:

Name: Life is like a paperclip
Genre: Dramatic Poetry
Link: http://youngwriterssociety.com/zepoemofdeath

*

For stories:

If you want to get a critique, please give me the name of the piece, the genre, a short summary of the work, word-count, and a link to your piece.

Example:

Name: The Adventures of the Stupid Unicorn
Genre: Fantasy Fiction
Summary: A stupid unicorn finds himself being hunted by the IRS. Desperate to find some money for his taxes, he goes off on an adventure to steal money from the dragon.
Word Count: 4500 words
Link: http://youngwriterssociety.com/zestoryofdeath

*

Anyway... some guidelines:

1. I don't do multiple chapters.

2. Me + Art = Epic-fail

3. Newbies come first, because they're cuter.

4. I favor people who've critiqued my own stuff.

5. No fan-fiction.

6. Bugging me slightly is fine, stalking me for critiques is unacceptable.

7. If you like the critique, donate some points.

8. Follow the format above or I'll ignore your stuff.

So yay!

*

In queue:

If it's not crossed out and it follows the guidelines above, it's in queue.

[s]hey, i have a piece which has had only one critique (it was a very good one but id like a few more :) )

title: chasing rainbows
genre: other fiction
summary: basically its just a piece about a father and a daughter who havent seen each other in years and then the piece is when they meet each other again. i know it sounds like a really cliche and over-done subject but give it a chance...and if it is one of those pieces then i dont want it to be!
word count: 996
link: topic32572.html ... i dont know if this will work...

so ye :) please have a look. and ill go and critique some of your work etc if you want.
thanks[/s]

When you say "series", does that include a thread with several chapters in it all wanting critiques?

Yep! And I say this because usually chapter one is enough for me to diagnose the problems and I don't like repeating myself continuously. ;)

I critted something of your's a few months back - does that help my credentials? I'll be cute and innocent and say you're amazing if you like. How many points do you want? (I'm generally broke)[/s]

I think there may be some misunderstandings... ^_^

I remember a lot of my critiquers (like, I can name some of my critiquers from the version of FREAK posted here in 2005) and if you've ever critiqued my work, I'll probably remember you and thus you'll be favored. So don't worry *too* much about that. But I won't ignore you, even if you've never critiqued anything of mine. So once again, no worries.

Also! It's standard (or at least, I hope it's standard) to give good critiquers a couple of points or something. It's not a requirement by any means. However! If you really really like my critique, you can donate a couple of points. It's nice and it makes me happy.

With that said! Your two stories are critiqued! Anybody else? :D

[s]I'd love one on this if you get a chance, and I'm happy to return the favour, though I tend to critque more poetry as I think my poetry critiques are better than my fiction ones. You can Pm me, or post in my thread here.
