What are word crawls?
Word crawls are great when you're struggling with motivation or when you need to change up your writing routine. They can be short or long, with a little story or without, but they all have short writing challenges designed to keep you writing and advance that word count! You can find a big list of word crawls here.
For camp this year, you have the chance to participate in a word crawl challenge!
OPTION ONE: The Ultimate YWS Word Crawl

This crawl is designed to last you the entire month.
Please don't be intimidated by the length! It's a bit of a choose your own adventure crawl, meaning you won't be doing every single challenge in the crawl.
If you'd like to give it a try, post one comment in the thread and keep editing your post throughout the month with your progress to keep things tidy.
When you finish the crawl, post a new comment in the thread with your total word count, total number of points for your team, and please tag me if you're one of the first 10 people to finish. The first 10 people to finish will receive 1000 points from me!
OPTION TWO: Short weekly crawls in a WriterFeedPad
Don't want to commit to the long crawl? No worries! Every Saturday during the month of July, I will open a WFP and host a crawl that you can finish in one day.
July 2nd: Camp Crawl
July 9th: Pub Crawl for the time crunch
July 16th: Sleepaway camp crawl
July 23rd: Library Crawl
July 30th: A crawl for the motivationally challenged
I'll post a link to each pad in this thread and on my wall the day of. More details will be shared in each pad
You are of course welcome to try both the Ultimate crawl and the short crawls if you choose! You're also welcome to hang out with us in the weekly pads and cheer people on even if you're not participating.
