Aleth reluctantly put his cane on the first stair and started up the stairs, biting his lip to keep the profanity that wanted to spew out, inside.

At long last, they finally got to the top. Aleth was breathing slightly heavy by the top and had sweat beaded on his brow, but was doing his best to hide his panting.
