Alexis

“Ah, I completely understand.” I say grabbing a long blanket. “I do not like the same old thing. I like being spontaneous.” I say laying it out on the sand right in front of the beach. I sit down on it and so does he. “That's one of the reasons that I like it here. Nothing is the same. Things are never the same.” I say. “So Elijah, tell me something about yourself.” I say taking a sip of my lemonade.”

Elijah

I nod and sigh, looking out at the ocean, "I don't know what to say. I find that I'm more complicated than explainable. Um... I'm from Ohio and attend the local university for a major in political sciences. You?"

Alexis

I laugh when he says he was to complicated to describe . “Um... I'm from Ohio and attend the local university for a major in political sciences. You?”

“I got my masters degree for Arts and Education at Liberty University in California.” I say.

Elijah

I nod, "Cool. In Ohio, I went to school for education. I changed majors when I moved though... halfway through. I just didn't know what I wanted anymore."

Alexis

“I understand. I did the say thing. I was going to be a nurse, but that did not last long. I am to over dramatic to be a nurse. I do not know if that makes since to you, but the longer you hang around me you will see.” I say laughing.

Elijah

I smile at her laughing and nod, "I'll be sure to stick around then. So, where do you work then?"

Alexis

“I am an Acting and Modeling coach at a Studio in the city. I am also a tutor on the weekends.” I say. “It pays really good surprisingly and it is a lot of fun. Where do you work?” I ask.

Elijah

"I'm doing a work study at the uni," I reply, "So, I'm assistant to the dean of admissions. It pays off my loans and leaves me with enough to get by."

Alexis

“Well if you can afford a house like that.” I say pointing. “I think you are getting by pretty well.” I say.

Elijah

I flash a smile and nod, "Yeah. I'd say. I just can't wait to graduate and start working on my career."

Alexis

“Amen. I cannot wait to go back to Collage and finish it. Summer break has just started and I am ready for it to end. I am glad for the break and all, but just gets old after a while.” I say. “Plus all my friends are back in California and when I moved school, it took a tole on my social life.”

Elijah

"Same here," I sigh, "I mean, I just started here. I can only imagine how it'll be when it starts up again."

Alexis

“I understand. I am a little worry about it, but I will be fine. I am going to Phoenix University. It is about two miles away, which is great.” I say.

Elijah

I nod, "Cool. I can't remember the name of the place I'm going to, in all honesty. I just remember where it is."

Alexis

I do a short laugh and continue to drink my lemonade. “So when do you start work?” I ask.
