Jace

I swallow, looking back down, "Just a bad dream. Haven't had it in a while."

I take a deep breath and force Alyx's face from my mind, force Nic's words away.

'He wouldn't want this...'

Rayah

I nod, "How do you wanna get your mind off it?" I ask, walking over to the window to see if it's still night.

Jace

I shrug and run a hand through my hair.

"I'll be fine," I say, laying back down and bottling everything up.

Rayah

I look over at him. "You sure?" I ask, leaning against the wall.

Jace

I nod and take a deep breath, closing my eyes. Alyx comes up again and I try to think of something else, anything else.

Rayah

I sit beside him and take a deep breath, taking his hand. "Just...Get your mind off it. Punch a pillow?" I ask, flashing a smile.

Jace

I flash a smile at her and open my eyes.

"It's not that kind of dream," I say, "It won't go away with pillow abuse."

Rayah

I smile back, Shaking my head at him.

"Then...What will? That's how I get stuff out of my head. Or I punch a wall." I look at him.

Jace

I flash a smile and shake my head, looking away for a moment.

"It was about my brother...my last time home," I say, "It was that kind of dream."

Rayah

I nod, "Then how do you want to get your mind of it?" I ask, sighing.

Jace

I shrug and take a deep breath, "If you...if you aren't tired, you probably should hear about it."

Rayah

I nod again, "Are you sure you want to talk about it? That only makes it worse...But if you want to then yeah. Tell me." I smile and sit on his lap. "Storytime."

Jace

I flash a smile and sit up.

"It'll be okay. I don't think he would want me keeping it a secret anymore anyway," I take a deep breath, composing myself, "I told you before that Avalia was at war when Nic and I left, right?"

Rayah

I nod, "Yes, Yes you did." I smiled.

Jace

I nod and look down.

"Nic's not my real brother," I whisper, "My real one died for me when I was six. Nic got me off of Avalia and became his replacement."
