Dylan

I nod and look back at my drink, not sure what else to say after that.

Ruby

I glance at him, "I'm sorry...It's just I don't really have any friends anymore, so this is new to me."

Dylan

I flash a smile and glance back at her, "It's fine. But, mind me asking why you don't have any friends anymore? It doesn't seem likely..."

Ruby

I hesistate, "My father...He's really overprotective. Ever since my mother passed away...he wouldn't send me to school or anything. But...my dad told me that when I was little, I had a best friend. But completely forgot about her after everything that's happened..." I look at the floor, "So yeah."

Dylan

I nod slowly and take a sip of my drink, "Oh. Sorry."

Ruby

I shrug, "S'okay. I mean...it's not like having friends is most important in life."

Dylan

I flash a smile and nod, knowing that my brother would agree with her there, "Yeah. Right."

Ruby

I nod, "But there the one's most loyal to you in life, and you need those people more than anything. Even more than family. Someone you can go to....to just, let all you're emotions out on. Someone to help you through things when the times get tough.

Dylan

Roan would love this girl. She thinks the same way he did.

I nod, "Of course. Sucks that it's so difficult to find those people sometimes."

Ruby

I nod and bite my lip, "Yes. It truly does..." I sigh, taking a sip of my water, "Just wish things could be easier."

Dylan

"Me too," I say, dazing out as I think about it all again.

Ruby

I study him, "You alright?"

Dylan

I nod before snapping out of it and looking at her, "Just thinking."

Ruby

I nod, "Okay. Just making sure."

Dylan

I flash a smile and nod, looking back down.
