Indigo

He pats my head and I flash a smile, removing my hand from covering my mouth. He laughs at the noise I made, but I'm okay with it. I open my mouth to speak again but don't know how to form the words. Confused and frustrated again, I look at him, my head tilted to the side.

I'm contemplating how I'm going to teach Indigo to talk for about a minute before I realize something.

He is a dog, which means I can ask him questions about being a dog. And no one else would know...

"Ok, I have an idea. Blink twice for yes and once for no. I'm going to ask you some questions. Understand?" I say. He blinks twice.

"So when you're a dog, do you see in color?"

Indigo

Blinking! I wonder how I didn't think of that before...

"So when you're a dog, do you see in color?" He asks.

Dog? I don't understand that right away, but I guess that's what Masters and Mistresses call what I am.

I blink once.

I see in color, but I don't know about others...

He only blinks once.

"Oh I see, no color. I assume you understand everything we say don't you?" I say.

He blinks twice.

"Well okay." I say

"Well this isn't a yes or no question, but seriously, what is with the butt-sniffing thing?" I ask

Indigo

I send him a questioning look. Butt-sniffing thing? When have I ever done that? I shrug in response, confused.

"You've probably never done that but It's a dog thing." I say.

"Jeez, I do not have any more questions. And I don't have any Idea where this conversation is going." I say.

Indigo

I study him for a moment before tapping my throat. Speak? If I am to be a Master, shouldn't I know how to do that?

"I have an Idea!" I said, remembering that I can use telepathy. One of the many perks of living with Rayah I guess. One day it just happens and then you're stuck with a cool new power.

I take a step back, bringing a hand to my temple, and stare at him in shock and slight fright.

H-how? I think back.

Indigo

You don't call others Master and Mistress? I ask.

No, he replies.

I look away for a moment, dropping my hand from my head, and nod.

So do I not call you Young Master?

Well; you can call me that if you want to... - I say.

Hey! Let's go talk to Rayah and Jace. - I say, bringing him downstairs.

Indigo

Confused, I let him bring me down the hall and to the stairs, of which he begins descending with no problem. Uneasy and not used to two legs, I cautiously follow and trip forth step from the bottom, crashing into him.

Sorry, Young Master, I apologize, getting up and helping him, dusting his shoulder off where he hit ground.

I swallow and bring myself to stand.

Rayah

I'm pacing around the room, freaking out. "How is that possible? I don't
Understand any of this. What did I do? How is he a man person thingy? What the hell?!" I whisper to myself, my arms crossed.

Indigo comes back downstairs and sees me. I point to him, so confused. "Y-You--" I stopped, feeling lightheaded. "Wh-What the hell? How is that possible?!" I ask.

I step foward and touch his hair amusingly, "Whoa, Your really a human.." I whispered. I jerk backwards when he moves and swallow.

Indigo

Mistress raises her voice, confused and freaking out. She points at me and asks how I'm possible, how I'm here. She steps closer and touches the fur on the top of my head and I duck down and backwards, frightened by her tone of voice. She jerks back at the action and swallows.

I swallow back and look at Young Master, unsure what I did wrong for her to yell. I whimper quietly and lower myself to the ground, the wall against my back as I crouch.
