Gaius huffed out a half-chuckle. "Good thing you had no idea there was so much on you, then. It's over and done, now." Though he supposed now she would have to maintain this relationship somehow--keep connected to Rönn or risk him snapping. He didn't seem the sort to snap for that kind of reason, but then again he must already be half mad from six hundred years as a beast.

Ky nodded, then hesitated. She didn’t like thinking of any of them as assets. That made it sound like something she managed. Used for her own benefit. She didn’t want to use anyone.
