Melissa

I try to think fast. I dig my nails into my skin and make myself bleed. "Joe." I yell, making him look at me before I heal.

Joseph

My eyes flicker back to her, down to her blood, and I speed over to her so fast I can barely believe it.

Melissa

He rushes to me and I let out a sigh.

Joseph

I lick the blood off of her before going to sink my fangs further into the damage her nails caused.

Melissa

I smile and wrap my arms around him. "Sorry guys, he is a little busy right now." I say to them.

Joseph

I wrap my arms around her and close my eyes, allowing myself to slowly calm.

Melissa

They all walk out sighing and I let him drink from me until he wants to stop, knowing it is helping him.

Joseph

I pull back when I think I'm calm enough, but don't dare open my eyes or speak.

Melissa

I pull closer to him, needing him to keep me stable. He drank more blood than expected, but I am fun with it. I lay my head on his shoulder and rub his back

Joseph

"We should leave, right?" I whisper. "I almost... I took a lot from you, and you need to feed too. I'm not ready for all of this yet."

Melissa

I nod and sit up. "It takes time."

Joseph

I nod and open my eyes to look at her, "I know."

Melissa

I smile and kiss his forehead before slowly getting up. I hold in to him for support, not wanting to fall.

Joseph

I wrap an arm around her waist for support, waiting for her to take the first step out.

Melissa

We get out and I use the rest of my energy to dart back to his place. I barely manage to jump through the window, but all I was to do is lay down. I curl up on the couch and smile as I see Joe jump through the window.
