“…Ah.” Her voice was small and timid and she nodded, picking up the pace a little. No chance in hell was she taking her chances of running into D’Ara. Especially without Tomhas. Though if she was mad at Gaius then she’d also be mad at Tomhas so maybe that would be worse instead of better.
She ran a hand through her hair. Had it grown out long enough D’Ara wouldn’t remember her? Probably not. It wasn’t that much longer, even though it was pissing her off. And she wasn’t wearing the binder now. Or lowering her voice. And D’Ara wouldn’t be expecting to see her up here. So… was there a chance? Probably not. She just needed to get to her room as soon as possible and stay there until the woman left, her agreement to come to meals be damned. That was a deal she’d made before they had angry, terrifying visitors.
