Spoiler! :
I'm not a song writer, but I do everything when it comes to writing so I've written a few songs. This is my personal best. I'm just re-posting it in the lyrics forum because it was in the lyric poetry forum instead. I didn't realize they had two separate forums:)

School days that seem to come and go
But I’ll never forget that year
Because when I look out my window on a rainy day
I think of you
We were so young and now we’re much older
But have we really lost it completely?
I thought we had something
But now I find myself full of tears

I could give up on love
I could stop fighting for a lost cause
Over the years I’ve matured
And what was important to me then isn’t important to me anymore
But when I look out the window on a rainy day
I still think of you
Everyone I knew told me I’m chasing an impossible dream
I neither agree nor disagree
But I do know one thing:
No matter what I’ll never ever…
Give up on love

Song after song comes on the radio
It’s not like I’ve stopped trying
You’re just not interested anymore
Our “just friends” status seems to stick
But I can’t help it
There’s just something about you that reminds me of a rainy day
We were so young and nothing’s the same
But no matter how many pieces you break my heart into
I’ll never stop trying

Chorus

Now the years have come and gone
I’ve never given up
My last shot seemed to be a failure
And did more damage than I thought
I’ll keep living my life
And you’ll keep living yours
I’m chasing after my dreams
But even now when I’m still not sure about my emotions
I can always count on a rainy day

Chorus

Oh I won’t give up on love
I’m not going to stop fighting for this cause
The years have gone by
But I’m still almost the same
My window on a rainy day is always extra clean
And I always think of you
I don’t care what everyone says
I disagree
I still know one thing:
No matter what I’ll never ever…
Give up on love
Let's eat mom.
Let's eat, mom.
Good grammar saves lives :D

Very sweet. I liked the feel of it.

I have one grammar-related question... in the first verse, you say:

"School days that seem to come and go
But I’ll never forget that year
Because when I look out my window on a rainy day
I think of you
We were so young and now we’re much older
But have we really lost it completely?
I thought we had something
But now I find myself full of tears"

I don't think the first two lines make sense. If you say "that" before "seem to come and go", there's no need to say "but" in front of "I'll never forget that year", because that's technically two negatives. So, you rephrase it like this:

"School days seem to come and go
But I’ll never forget that year"

or:

"School days that seem to come and go
I’ll never forget that year"

Either way would work, but the second option kind of creates two ideas, so if you only want the first two lines to create one idea, I'd go with the first option.

Also, always remember proper comma placement: "No matter what (COMMA INSERTED HERE) I'll never ever..."

Other than that, I really liked it. My favorite parts were:

"Our “just friends” status seems to stick"

and:

"But I’m still almost the same
My window on a rainy day is always extra clean
And I always think of you"

Nice job! :)
- baby, please don't go -
- who do you think you are? -
- i was enchanted to meet you -
- you're the only one who's got enough of me to break my heart -
- until the morning sun you're mine, all mine -
- there's only 1 way 2 say those 3 words 4 you... i love you -

Hmm, I feel that this song is really cliche' and I'm sorry if that sounds rude. It's just that this song has that same "I can't get over you" atmosphere to it. Which is a turn off to me, sorry but it is
