*i'll appreciate the reviews. :)

I.
Dear diary, I saw him today
He had this smile when he walked my way
His eyes rested on me for a while
But I didn't take my chance to say "hi"

Dear diary, I watched him leave
I never thought that he could make me believe
That this is love and I'm beginning to fall
But I know he'll never catch me at all

[chorus]
It was just an ordinary day
But there's a guy who took my breath away
After that, I knew that everyday will never be the same again
I've got a pen and I'll write it down
How time stops whenever he's around
I wish he could feel this magic I feel
Or hear this song I sing
As I write, dear diary

II.
Dear diary, he turned to me
And walked to where I sat under the tree
He hesitated and said,
"Well I just wondered--"
But then he shrugged and smiled and started walking away

Dear diary, I watched him leave
I never thought that he could make me believe
That this is love and I'm beginning to fall
But I know he'll never catch me at all

[chorus]
It was just an ordinary day
But there's a guy who took my breath away
After that, I knew that everyday will never be the same again
I've got a pen and I'll write it down
How time stops whenever he's around
I wish he could feel this magic I feel
Or hear this song I sing
As I write, dear diary

[bridge]
I've got a lot of things to tell him
But I'm not brave enough to speak them out
So just in case he won't be listening
I'll just take my time to write them down

[chorus]
Because it was such an ordinary day
But he's the one who took my breath away
And after that, I knew my everyday will never be the same again
I've got a pen and I'll write it down
How time stops whenever he's around
I wish he could feel this magic I feel
Or hear this song I sing
As I write, dear diary

I wish he could feel this magic I feel
Or hear this song I sing
As I write, dear diary

This is very cool. Me like.
A hero isn’t defined by winning. Loads of heroes die in the effort. Most of them never get any recognition. No, a hero is just somebody who does the right thing when it would be far, far easier to do nothing.

Amazing job! I could literally hear it on the radio (I made up my own little tune that I pictured with the lyrics)! :) You're really good! If this were a poem I would say to consider revising
And after that, I knew my everyday will never be the same again
on the last chorus because it seemed a bit long, but considering that this is a song and not a poem, then it's fantastic! Keep writing! :)

wow I can't believe I'm the only one who didn't like this. I understand because your a teen and all that you felt that a song lyric like this would be such a great topic, and in some ways I suppose that is true. I, however, thought that it just dragged on a bit and it had that puppy love on the brink of stalker feel to it.

Also, when reading this I kept hearing the song "Dear Diary" from the band M2M in my head which also made it seem that perhaps you were trying to emulate in various ways. Then again you might not have ever heard of M2M, but still it seems like an idea that has already been done...no originality whatsoever.

love this!
maybe you should leave out 'just' in the last sentence, because I think it would sound better..
So just in case he won't be listening
I'll just take my time to write them down

but other than that: great song <3
