My first time doing NaPo, and I'm going to finish it (unlike, ahem, NaNo). The first poem will be posted in a few minutes.
"A superman ... is, on account of certain superior qualities inherent in him, exempted from the ordinary laws which govern men. He is not liable for anything he may do." Nathan Leopold
Silver wisps dancing in the night bleeding from my volcano’s tip You need this freedom I need this elation Shouting and swearing and screaming and in the end you’re my only friend if only you weren’t a double-edged knife a fair-weather pal But I can’t stop Your release is my justification and craving is my motivation Because you need this and I need this And we’ll crash and burn together.

With our potions of mud, and worlds of pretend, oh I miss
those Halcyon days.
I miss the local sweetshop, miss the owner who'd call me back to collect my change. I miss the trips on a fast-moving train back when I had no concept of time no idea that clocks only go forwards.
I miss those halcyon days.
So I go back to that winding high street, where the sweetshop is where my old home is round the corner
And the old man is gone replaced by a sweating Asian man who doesn't understand my English and when I knock on the door of my former home eyes watch me from the letterbox and the door is locked fast and I realize that now, it is just a house because the clocks don't turn back.
Still, I miss those halcyon days.

And today, I attempt a Sijo, instead of writing a none-rhyming poem full of enjambment. It's pretty short.

Where is it that I dance? In the golden rays of springtime shine On a stretch of silver beach, by a blue-green crashing sea. Don't dance with me, I'll enjoy twisting and twirling alone.

At last, you let me touch the stone-set square of your jaw, my fingers run across the fine, mud-speckled strands of your hair and they smooth the rubbery, cold flesh of your cheeks.
As I lay you down in a bed of grass, rock and earth Footsteps approach, they leave fast in a harmony of shouting: Love, the guests are coming. I reach behind and look! Isn't it beautiful, that which ties us in loving matrimony-- naked gun shining black in the light of the moon
Don't cry, love look, I wipe red tears from your forehead we'll be together soon. Can you hear it? I raise the naked gun, to my temple and the wedding bells are plentiful accompanied by blue and red lights--
Love, in life you were Adonis, but Death becomes you.
