Poem 1:

Mis.Understood

That girl coated in make-up
The one the guys call fake,
Thinks naturally she's hideous,
And going without would be a mistake.

The girl that is skin and bones,
That everyone jokes is anorexic,
Starves herself each and every day,
Because her “fat” drives her hectic.

The girl who’s always sarcastic,
That one you deemed rude,
Uses her tone as protection,
Feeling her true thoughts aren’t prude.

The girl who wears revealing clothes,
That one you just called a slut,
Only exploits her body because,
It’s all she has to offer up.

The girl who is constantly smiling,
Nicknamed Goody Two Shoes,
Is actually fighting depression,
But keeps silent her issues.

Everyone is dealing with something,
So don’t be so quick to judge,
No matter how sturdy they seem,
They’ll collapse with the slightest nudge.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

2. Flustered

I’m standing tall,
But my legs feel weak,
I feel like I’m about to collapse,
Heat rushes through my cheeks,
Infusing them with a shade of pink.
I go to speak,
But my throat is dry,
And my mouth is feeling numb.
I force a smile,
But I can feel their eyes,
Like a thousand trotting ants.
They’re making me itch,
And making me squirm,
I just wish they would leave me alone!
I can feel it coming,
My breaking point,
The moment that I faint.
I can feel it building,
I’m on my way to explode.
Here it comes,
Brace yourself.
Three, Two, And-
Oh, never mind,
Seems they’re bored of me already,
At least I kept my dignity…

I think.

3.My Own Worst Enemy

Like a midnight breeze,
She whispers in my ear,
Telling me everything,
That I don't want to hear.

“They don’t want to talk to,
They barely know your name,
Wondering why you’re still talking,
You’re only bringing shame.”

Her words are like a faucet,
Turning on my tears,
Slowly letting them escape,
But holding onto my fears.

I try to ignoring her words,
But she only screams louder,
Echoing throughout my head,
I can tell she’s feeling prouder.

There are moments when she is silent
And I start to feel at ease,
My confidence begins building,
Only for her to impede.

I wonder when this will end,
So my life can begin,
When will she leave,
And allow me joy within.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

4. Becoming Drained

Heavy eyelids,
And stumbling feet,
All I want to do,
Is go to sleep.

My fuzzy mind,
Is on a delay,
I'll answer your question,
in a few seconds, okay.

I look at the clock,
It's getting late,
I should go to bed,
But instead, I wait.

My head is throbbing,
Beating like a heart,
My show is almost over,
But my next is going to start.

Two hours later,
I collasp in my bed,
Unfortunately tomorrow,
I'm going to feel dead.

5. Bring Me Back To The Days

Bring me back to the days,
When the sun was my blanket,
And the wind was my fan.
The days when ice-cream was all that we ate,
Half of it smeared across our faces.
The days when nothing really mattered.
Show me the days,
When a smile wasn’t unusual,
And sorrow was unheard of.
Bring me to a place,
Buzzing with energy,
And echoing with laughter.
Take me to a time,
Where fear wasn’t an obstacle,
And walking alone wasn't absurb.
Tell me a way,
To make all this happen,
And actually feel alive,
Because I'm fading each day.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

Spoiler! :
Eek.. this one is really bad! I want to go to bed so I quickly wrote something in fifteen minutes. I couldn't think of anything better in such short time.

6. Secret Admirer

I feel a shove from behind,
But there’s no one there.
My hair becomes ruffled,
Without being touched.
I feel a cold hand,
Run down my neck.
Yet, no one is around.
I feel a tickling sensation,
On my cheek.
An invisible kiss of some sort.
But I’m all alone,
With no one around,
It’s only just the wind.

I hope.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

7. Searching For Something More

Side by side we walk,
Chatting away,
We haven’t said much,
Yet, been talking all day.

Loud cars drive by,
As the sun burns our backs,
Not the most peaceful surroundings,
But with him, I feel relaxed.

His jewel-like eyes,
Become locked with mine,
Making everything else,
Seem to freeze in time.

I search his eyes,
For some hidden message,
That he cares for me,
Some sort of presage.

But just like that,
His eyes flit away,
Leaving me to ponder,
What his eyes say.

And then my negativity,
Casts a shadow over my heart,
Like a dark cloud,
Which makes the storm start.

What if it meant nothing?
Perhaps it was just by chance,
We are talking after all,
And it was only one glance.

But on the other hand,
This had happened before,
We share these moments,
That seems to be more.

I just feel so conflicted,
Not knowing what to think,
I wish I could ask him,
But that’ll only turn me pink.

I wish I had to courage,
To express what I feel,
Inside of rambling on,
In my head that’s thick as steel.

We continue walking,
Him oblivious to my rant,
I smile and laugh,
My confidence feeling scant.

Spoiler! :
Still not really liking it... I'll probably change and add to it. Oh well, good enough for now.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

8. Giving In

The excitement that once filled me,
Has all drained away,
Leaving me to feel empty,
And like there’s no way.

All possibilities are over,
I’ve finally given in,
With no chances left,
I surely can’t win,

Now I’m just lingering,
Feeling half dead,
The days drag on,
When will this misery end?

I’m counting down the weeks,
Slowly each day,
Inching closer and closer,
I’ll soon be on my way.

Then I can leave this town,
And the people within,
To start a new life,
One I fit in.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

9. Her Eyes of Gray

Her sparkling eyes of blue,
Have dulled to a simple gray,
The life that once filled them,
Has now faded away.

The dark, heavy rain,
Has burnt out her flame,
And the leftover ashes,
Are all that remain.

Since her emotions are fried,
She adjusts them on her own,
Flipping on her smiles,
And tinkering with her tone.

Going through everyday motions,
With her body still intact,
Walking, eating, and breathing,
Looking normal, in fact.

But look into her eyes,
Past the shades of gray,
And nothing is what you’ll find,
Because that girl is far away.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

Here is my attempt at a limerick. It's short and simple, but I'm pretty sure that's how they are supposed to be. Don't expect anything great. Ahahaa.

10. My Jeans For 9.99

I bought some jeans for 9.99.
I wore them to school, looking fine.
Showing off my new brand,
But the tag was on and,
Everyone knows they’re 9.99.

I love this! :D
I am nothing
but a mouthful of 'sorry's, half-hearted
apologies that roll of my tongue, smoothquick, like 'r's
or maybe like pocket candy
that's just a bit too sweet.

So, yesterday I tried out a limerick and today I'm trying a haiku. I know they are short so I took the pattern and doubled it. Hope that's okay :)

11. Butterflies

Delicate creatures,
dance along my skin so soft,
Their touch make me laugh,

Intricate designs,
Painted on their unique wings,
Pretty butterflies.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

12: Hell of a School

High school’s a place of laughter,
A place we love to be,
Ha, that’s the biggest joke,
Here, I’ll let you see.

If you aren’t “popular”,
Then call yourself a ghost,
No one will speak with you,
Maybe a “hi”, at the most.

The students chant “fight”,
As he crumbles to the floor,
Blood is spraying from his face,
But all they want is more.

Don’t expect the staff to help,
As they watch safely from the side,
Oops, someone’s unconscious,
Maybe now this should subside.

Now the secretaries aren’t any better,
As they busily type away,
Don’t you dare ask for a favour,
I mean, that could take all day.

The vice principals are the sergeants,
Patrolling every hallway,
And if they smell your food, oh no,
Better enjoy starving for the day.

Oh, but if they find your cellphone,
Yikes, that might as well be a gun,
They’ll toss you in detention,
And without a phone it won’t be fun.

The principal says we’re family,
But in a dictatorship kind of way,
He’s changing all the rules,
I mean, who cares what we have to say.

The assignments aren’t too bad,
As long as you get them done,
But if you don’t, no worries,
Next year it’ll be the same one.

And if you’re ever late,
Better have a darn good explanation,
Unless attacked by wild dogs,
You’ll be watering the planation.

At least we are eco-friendly,
By never using heat,
Who cares about hypothermia,
The earth could use a treat.

My school is not like the movies,
Or close to the ones on T.V,
It’s not a place of enjoyment,
But a place we’re forced to be.

Now, I better burn this poem,
Because if my principal were to see,
Then the next thing getting burnt,
Is going to be me.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

13. Trust

Trust.
Something that does not come easy,
Something that is hard to maintain.
It has a million clichés,
All, very much the same.

Why do people break it?
Why can’t people rely on it?
Something so fragile,
Yet it can be so powerful.

I realize what I’m doing,
But I can’t help myself,
Talking in pointless circles,
Avoiding what this is about.

But the honest truth is,
I can’t tell you my point.
Because how can I trust,
That you will understand?
I can’t, so I won’t.
Trust.
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

It's funny how humans can wrap their mind around things and fit them into their version of reality.
— Rick Riordan, The Lightning Thief
