April 1st: A Quatrain about Time

Why time can never stay as gold,
Or fiery as the sun
That dies in glory every dusk
Yet always wakes up young?
always daydreaming, always clumsy

Ooo, if only! If only time were so! Also this. Quatrains can be difficult but you nailed this one. This can be made into a meme-quote thing, it is subtly brilliant with the sun-dusk-young sounds, I enjoyed the power in its simplicity too. I can't wait to see more of you!

April 2nd: My Second Quatrain (about Peace)

Peace is the scent of soothing light
That swells across terrains;
Sunbathing minds with memories,
For bliss and never pain.

(I don't know why I like to include the sun :P)
always daydreaming, always clumsy

3rd poem:

nestling quietly in its seat
of the Ferris Wheel called gravity
when dawn sunders the sky;

after rustling the curtains
as it steps out of the house
through the window-sill

after peeping through the curtains
to gaze on a little baby
rocked to sleep, gently,

with lullabies sailing down
like shooting stars
from the mother’s loving soul;

after stepping down from
its creamy white throne
to float across the ground

leaving a white milky trail
for nocturnal lives to prowl,
and travelers and sailors to embrace;

after balancing in the tip
of the star-spangled sky
on the top of the Ferris Wheel.
always daydreaming, always clumsy

4.:

Weaving Rainbows

A small dash of rainbows,
smudged with gray,
sprinkling parchments
with its ink of myriad blends,
honey and lemons
and dark chocolate and matcha,
scripting fates and destinies
like the Norns with their mottled yarn.
always daydreaming, always clumsy

Poem 5:

Ebony

the curls of a pampered child
who’s fed from a silver spoon;

polished shoes
of a wealthy gentleman

engulfed by abstract matters
yet which are costly,

like the luster of the mantel
so shallow, like a mirror.

smooth and underlying,
but there’s all there is to it.
always daydreaming, always clumsy

Your poetry has a sense of classics to it in that it feels rooted in the old poets, and I like that! I enjoyed the last poem you wrote and the theme that goes along with it, so keep writing! <3

Poem Number #6 ( and I don't know why I keep changing the headings):

tangent

like a picture divided from reality
by a slip of yellowed paper,
where i can run my fingers over it
and smell the scents of home,
reach out to the soul i once knew;
but never quite reach it—never so close
as that instantaneous moment
when we were the same.
always daydreaming, always clumsy

I feel like I want to dig deeper into tangent. I feel like there's more hiding there. :) I really liked your entry for April Madness, by the way!

are you a green room knight yet?
have you read this week's Squills?

Poem Number 7 (and my 3rd Quatrain):

I’ve learned to walk where no one walked,
In pathways leading backwards;
While others never look behind,
And always march on forwards.
always daydreaming, always clumsy

Well, if I can't get this chapter to work....at least I will have exercised my fingers.
