HURRAH! my space.
What does one do in a space?
WRITE.

SO read my friends. If you wish. And if you don't wish, go along your way.

Forgotten Promises-

When I look around here,
All I see are the memories of an age.
The tables are empty, the chairs vacated.
The windowsill is dusty, the panes filthy.
I keep looking though, trying to find the life that once lived,
untarnished and new, clean and happy in this world of forgotten promises.
Slip your farewell note under the door, and it becomes the floor,
because no one reads the signs anymore.

This place is forgotten, wiped off the map.
It’s as if we were never here,
never living among the forced smiles and misted eyes.

Even though I know it’s all gone,
Even though I know that I can’t get it back,
I keep looking for it.
Searching.
Hope, where are you?
Faith, where are you?

They’ve flown away like everyone else,
disappeared into the dark corners of this empty shell of a place.

I’ll keep looking though, till the end of my days.
I’ll keep wishing on those stars up in the sky,
flickering with life.
I’ll keep on searching and maybe one day,
we’ll find the world whole again.
hush, my sweet
these tornadoes are for you

Always kiss me goodnight-
Daddy, haven’t you forgotten something?
Momma, did you remember?

I’m ready for my life to begin,
eager for the world to welcome me as an adult.

Or so I feel.
I’m kind of scared, Momma.
I want to hide in my room, Daddy.

The world is a really big place,
it’s a place I can get lost,
lose my way.
Find myself somewhere I never wanted to be,
and never want to be again.

Do you remember now, Daddy?
You’ve done it since I was a little girl.
And right now, I need you more than ever.
Just because I’m older doesn’t mean I don’t need you.

Did you really forget Momma?
Or did you think it would embarrass me to do so?
You should know that’ll never embarrass me.
So, please remember.
Remember.
To always kiss me goodnight.
hush, my sweet
these tornadoes are for you

I can't understand why people are frightened by new ideas. I'm frightened of old ones.
