Okay, poem number 1!
I know I'm starting quite late, but if i write a poem every day i can still do it :smt001

Beauty (working title, help!)
Eyes rimmed with black
Coy glances and winks from
Diamante eyes
Buttercream skin; smooth, soft
Lips like blood.
Smile of a thirsty shark;
Enticing, irresistible
Delicate curls of chocolate
Frame a glowing face
A model’s figure.
A rare beauty;
An Egyptian Queen.

Modern-day Cleopatra.
there's footprints on the moon... so don't tell me the sky's the limit

Day 2 :)

Fault
It's your fault.
You say it's always my fault.

It's your fault when I muck up
When I don't say the right thing
When I cry.
It's my fault when you get teased
When you get your heart broken
When you hurt someone.

It's your fault when I get close
When my heart beats too fast
When I fall in love.
It's my fault when you start to smile
When you don't feel lonely any more
When you begin to believe.

I hate it when it's my fault
When you blame it all on me.
Yet why is it never your fault
When it's so plain to see?
there's footprints on the moon... so don't tell me the sky's the limit

Day 3? :?

Financial Gain
Coins dropping, falling.
Plinking against a counter.
Notes, scrumpled
Fall with a whisper.
Clattering-
-swish.
Why do we depend on money so?

(This was written very quickly!)
there's footprints on the moon... so don't tell me the sky's the limit

Day 4! :) (oh, and I apologise for the shabbiness of yesterdays, I was very pushed for time!)

Kookaburra Calling

Old Man Kookaburra sits in his tree
Calling, and calling to his family
The eerie sound echoes all around
But no reply, no one makes a sound
Then all of a sudden, a wasp appears
'I've seen your family!' He mumbles through tears.
'What ever did happen?' The Kookaburra said
But the wasp fell to the floor, dead.
The Kookaburra laughed from night til morn
And was never seen again.

:P
there's footprints on the moon... so don't tell me the sky's the limit

Oops, i accidentally deleted my previous poem, so I'll put it at the end of this message. Just to let ya'll know, I couldn't continue with this as I was away for a weekend and had no internet :( but as I can't figure out how to delete this whole thing, I'll just leave it up :)

Balloons
A bright blossom of red balloons drifted in the sky
Floating on the gentle breeze.
Miles above the green earth, watching in awe
The tiny people bustling, talking, running
Some so far away.
Tied together, bumping slightly as they flew
Each nudging closer to another, fearful
Of the black expanse above.

Silver string, tied in a delicate bow
Was all that kept others near.
Trailing, baby hands of wind tugging
Ever so gently.
And the string began to loosen, bonds broken
Reaching for empty space.

Scattered across the sky
People stared in wonder at the tiny red dots
As they flew higher, higher
Miles to roam
Alone.
there's footprints on the moon... so don't tell me the sky's the limit
